______________________________________________________________
In this video, I get rid of my 7 year old rubber radiator hoses, and replace them with polyester-reinforced HPS silicone hoses. I replace the 2 hoses going to and from the radiator, along with the hoses going to and from the heater core.
A set of hoses like this will be much less prone to failure, as they are designed with much higher tolerances. That means if you track your car, or even just drive it to and from work every day, you can rest assured knowing that your cooling system will not fail. To guarantee that, HPS stands behind their product with a lifetime warranty on their hoses.
HPS has a massive inventory, which means they will most likely have the exact silicone hose kit you’re looking for. They have one for the accord, which is exactly what I purchased, and it came with brand new HPS hose clamps for an easy install.
If you’re looking to pick up a kit like mine for your car, you can click the following link, and it will bring you to amazon where you can select the exact kit for your car ▶︎ amzn.to/2iEy83t
After that, be sure to replace the proper coolant in your vehicle. I’ve included below links to most of the automotive manufacturer’s Genuine engine coolant, to make the search a bit easier.

For ppl that have never done this before. I recommend draining the radiator first. It's easier n less work. But it is a personal preference

One major thing you have missed mate from one car guy to another but after you topped it up and changed the hoses you should of left the rad cap off and let it run it to temp and let any air bubbles in the system get out. 😉

beginning of video *you dont want coolant on the ground due to its toxicity* 5 min later *(spills coolant) i dropped some so i will have rinse the engine down later* i believe it would have been easier and safer to just *drain the coolant* into a clean container then re use it not harping on you m8 .. just trying to help as always we appreciate the videos

milanmastracci I did ... But I'm saying the rinsing the engine down ... Some people wont think twice washing the engine down in thier front yard . Anyways I apologise if I was out of line . I'm still patently waiting on your tsx tranny saga by the way .

No worries buddy!! :) Unfortunately I wont be installing that TSX tranny in my accord. The guy that I bought it from misrepresented what it was, lied to me and was a PITA to solve. I got my money back from it, and after I'm done the mini, I think it'll be time to mod the accord. I'm thinking supercharger and 6 speed tranny with an LSD :D

About $190 HPS hoses for the New Edge Mustang. It also has a bleed valve right on top of the thermostat which makes things easier, plus you can also just use the EPAuto funnel. Recently I've been messing around with different coolants and I wonder what would happen if you mixed Mishimoto's "Liquid Chill" into your coolant without flushing.

I have a 2003 accord coupe (2.4L) and i was looking for some replacement ignition coils, it has the stock ones still with 230k miles (original plugs too, but i already ordered new NGK ones). I've been looking around but i'm unsure of which ones are decent factory replacements and not performance ones like the Accels.

In my opinion the OEM spring clamps on the old radiator hoses are a lot better than those cheap warm clamps that normally break. I just wondered to myself why everybody throws the good ones away and puts on the warm style ones?

Awesome video..... I will not be critical.... (there are many others that will find any fault as objectionable) ... I may suggest tho that you replace all regular radiator hose clamps with worm drive clamps.... they dont look pretty.... but they are so much better at not leaking..... No rant.... no fault finding.... just a suggestion....
@merouanebboy

Hey man, i just replaced my radiator and my top hose is leaking because of the clamp (i think it's not too tight and can't tight it much than that because its too small). but you say that you dont need to tight it too much, isn't that risky after the engine gets hot and the pressure inside the hose increase? which will push the coolant to leak from the hose, or even disconnect the hose from the radiator? i am planning to buy new clamps to tight it a bit of too much by making sure i dont damage the hose and radiator entry.

I rarely ever comment on videos but i feel triggered lol. First off drain the "radiator". Engine coolant is very toxic to animals and agriculture such as plants and trees. Second, no one calls it a rad. Third it is not at all a messy job, take your time and do it right. Drain your coolant and keep your car clean and smeeling like unicorns and magic...not burning antifreeze....ok my rant is over

Only reason why I went with blue is because I thought of it logically. They're coolant hoses, and the coolant goes through the water pump/coolant pump. Since I figured blue is associated with water, its very easy to distinguish in the engine bay what is a water hose/coolant hose :)

I must honestly admit that I had a great laugh when I saw you changing those hoses. such a pro is doing such a thing 😂 . especially if you've got a valve it's so easy to remove all the water in about three minutes from the cooling system. and you talking about environmental friendly and this spilling all around, yeah I will believe that you catch all of that, just better say that you've moved your garage to Mexico. I worked on my golf cooling system last time and I just came back home with engine 90 degrees hot I've opened the reservoir to release the pressure and then I open the valve to release the mixture I messed up(to THE GROUND!) so later I had nice and clean job on my engine. also those hose clamps include in your kit, the thing that they got something engraved with the laser wont make them any More useful when it's completely useless crap. you always looking for the best solution and than you're putting something like that on your hoses , original clips are so armored that I would never replace them with anything else especially with the pathetic jubilee clips. so is it hard to do - reasonably is it clean to do - TOTALY* (* if you do it right)😀😁😂 oh yeah and one more I was checking your old videos and I completely don't understand why you not doing tripod thing no more only that hand recording which is completely awful. PEACE fella😋

ok im seriously not trying to be a hater here but i have heard some solid science that says silicone is bad for carrying hot coolant. and is best for intercooler systems where its not exposed to polyethylene glycol. apparently over time the heat can allow coolant to penetrate into the wound layers of silicone and cause bubbling of the hose and eventually leak...

I cringe looking at the coolant spilled all over the place. Some of those liquid made contact with wiring harness connectors. People if you intend to do this, please plan on doing so when you are doing a coolant flush. Replace the hoses while the coolant is emptied. You will still have some spill from coolant trapped in the hoses but not as much as this one. Coolant fluid actually also contains some level of corrosive properties. I saw the mess it left my epoxy painted garage floor. I also did not notice any air bubble bleeding procedure being done.
