Fitting heated grips. Very satisfying outcome

The grips I used were called Hot Grips I'm afraid that's all I can remember. Be careful when ordering the grips as the bars are quite a large diameter. I use a company called Vehicle Wiring Products for the connectors and used a petty standard male/female snap together plastic type that kind of look stock.

Love my Oxfords, the self turn off feature is great for saving battery drain on those occasions when you forget & they're not already factory wired.

I think they have become a must have on a bike that is for longer trips.

Fitted the OEM grips and happy with them. I dropped screws too but managed to retrieve without complete dismantle.

Heated grips have become an essential for me, as for dropping screws well it's just par for the course in my life

I assume you tried a magnetic pick up tool or one of those triple jaw pick up tools on a flexible wand . Me , I would ask the misses to pick the bike up and shake it loose ! Only kidding !

Nothing improves enjoyment of cold weather riding like warm hands! Had years of trouble free riding with Oxfords.

I had a pair about 15yrs ago and got frustrated with faffing about charging them so I find heated grips an easier option

Nice tips, good to know you can use existing circuitry without the Guzzi brain throwing a wobbly like our governments every time a majority forms that it doesn't like! I've just found out in order to change a rear turn signal bulb I've got to take 6 screws out of the plastic above the rear wheel... and also remove the rear wheel..... to gain access to the tail light unit.. Bit of a faff!! lol.. although I had been fancying a Metzeler Karoo 4 on the back for a while anyway; I still don't much fancy a long drive to Loughborough flapping my arms all the way like I'd got avian rabies. How's the v85 on that front?

So far it's been faultless and it's mostly simple although they pack a lot under the seat and tank
