Fitting OEM+ underbody aero to the GTI Clubsport (MK7)

Today we fit the OEM+ undertrays available for the MQB platform.

Nice to see a video on this. I did all these covers (except the rear axle one which is not Mk7) 6 years ago on my 2013 Mk7 GTI Performance. Nice side affect of the engine tray is that your engine bay stays clean(er). I live in Germany where a lot of salts are sprayed onto the road in winter time. Good for safety, not so good for your car..

I notice you apparently have an Audi aluminium subframe and aluminium control arms (Whiteline or Superpro?). Did they make a big difference to handling? The S3 subframe seems like it would be quite a job to switch out. Was it?

Huge difference to the way the front end feels. Can’t recommend enough. It’s a decent job to tackle. The video covers most of the process so you can gauge from there. It was a couple of hours work.

I just installed the 3 front panels (under engine tray, exhaust tunnel tray, and rear 1st bend tray, but I have not been able to source the panel near the gas tank. Does it make that much of a difference with that last panel or should I not even bother?

I think the last one is good to get. I had to trim it a fair bit. I can source it for you if interested.

@@trackhackau I should of been more clear lol, I mean I could not source one for a decent price....They are $90 at the dealer I just don't know if it's worth to spend that much on it or wait until the MK8 panel is available as it's more than less than half the price.
