Episode 9 deals with how I fit the lockers. Getting them straight and square in the van. Against my better judgement, I swing off the cupboards to see how strong they are.
I also have a 5 minute rant about cheap products ...lol.

Enjoyed the video thanks 👏 Correct me if I am wrong but I have watched each of your videos in this van build series and I don’t remember seeing construction of and installation of the washroom?

You are correct. I thought i would try to bring it all together as one. However, the washroom ends up being shower wall in week 2, remaining 3 walls in week 3, ceiling a bit later, then the tray and finally vanity and washbasin / plumbing. So I hope to pull most of it together in one video that makes sense (a bit maybe?). I am using this van build as a tester for how I film it. My own van is next, which I hope I can do a better video on. But I may leave editing until its all finished on that one.

@@voyageadventurevans All makes sense, that’s for answering my question so promptly 👍 I am very impressed with the quality of your craftsmanship. This is going to turn out to be a beautiful van and I look forward to seeing what you do with your build 😎

I was waiting for this one to be released, great work as always I’m currently converting a MAN lwb getting some brilliant ideas from your videos. I learnt what you meant about spay glue showing up lmprints on the roof panels currently trying to source a glue that dries properly on the foam. Thanks for the content 👋👋 Liam

Unfortunately, the glue we use is a trade secret passed on to me in the understanding I keep it that way. That said, it really isnt a DIY option as its expensive, big quantities and spraygun application only. PVA glue is pretty good as long as you let it dry for a few days.

Thanks Ed , I sourced all my vinyl from Martim in UK going to give them a call to see if they have any suggestions. By PVA do you mean the likes of Polybond?

@@Ribliam PVA glue as in 5lt from Screwfix. We used to use this on ceiling panels on t5's. Leave it for a couple of hours and it dries with no finger dents possible.

@@Ribliam Put it on the ply with a roller, place the foamed material on it, and the suction from the pva should keep it flat. Leave it for a day or 2 if you can, then wrap the edges over using normal spray glue.

Hi Ed. Im looking at building my top lockers soon. The 18mm birch ply strips you fitted to the ceiling are both fitted to the ceiling tiles or is one at the back fitted to the lattice frame under the tile.

The 18mm strip is fitted to the outside edge of my ceiling lattice and strips. It is in direct contact with the steel beams and has 2 screws into each one. The very back end is bonded to the metal roof with a packer in between.

Is it screwed through the strips then the lattice and then finally through the metal beams. I think I get it. 😅. Also is the front strip 18mm birch as well.

As usual Ed a entertaining and informative vlog , we love your style and attention to detail so much so we will be using pretty much the same layout you use with our new MAN so hope you have no copyrights 😂😂😂❤

I try to keep it real🤣🤣. No copyrights, but there may be the odd bit I wont want to disclose. I am hoping it may show the effort that goes into a decent build. I am possibly looking at a detailed video on cost of parts for a similar build.....that may get a bit scary though😉
