Hey everybody! Sorry for the delay, I had some technical difficulties yesterday uploading the video but everything is sorted now. Hope you enjoy it! Have a Great week!

Thanks for sharing with us. Looking forward to seeing the solar panel install. I would be tempted to isolate the vehicle heater fan supply with two schottky diodes so that you can use it to circulate air when powered from your 12v leisure supply with the ignition otherwise turned off.
@Ollaris2 жыл бұрын
The heater fan runs from factory from the leisure battery. I can turn it on any time, the gas furnace doesn’t need to run. But I’m planning to add a roofvent with a built in fan to move even more air.

I'm constantly amazed/seriously-impressed with how you go and reverse engineer the various pieces of this camper build. It's just really fun to watch the way in which you create mini jigs for the various cuts, recreate specialized pieces, etc. Also cool to hear you're putting solar panels on top. Are the solar panels going to be the heavier type, or did you maybe look into or consider the lighter weight flat/flexible panels?
@Ollaris2 жыл бұрын
Yes, some people say they are less efficient. I have to do some more research on it.
@velocelt2 жыл бұрын
@@Ollaris - You should look into the thin, flexible panels. If you can mount them to a rigid panel, or make a lightweight aluminum frame for them (so they get good airflow around them), then they will be much lighter than the heavier, older style of panels, and in most cases they seem to be cheaper these days. They're also far more durable and less fragile than the older, heavier design of panels. Not sure which brands you might have available in your part of Europe, but one brand of panel is Sunpower and they seem to be getting a lot of use by people in the solar power bicycle community.

Great and amazing job as always! How is the white roof part attached? Only by its weight? So that it don't flies away when driving or by wind. Thanks you for sharing your cool work, greetings from Chile!

How will it be watertight?
@Ollaris2 жыл бұрын
I will be showing that in detail when i have the aluminium roof siding on it. But basically there will be a rubber seal like on car doors that will be sealing the fiberglass pop top to the aluminum roof skin when the top is closed. So basically this would be double sealed.
