No disrespect to Fit tuber but here's my view on protein - As someone who is mindful of cost and trying natural protein sources, I used to drink a Chana sattu shake every day, adding milk and some dates. However, I noticed that I gained a significant amount of weight. Since sattu is primarily a source of carbohydrates rather than protein, it’s not ideal for daily consumption if you're serious about building muscle. While whey protein is artificially created, that doesn’t mean it's harmful for human consumption. In fact, it's better, more convenient, and provides the quality protein that the body needs.

Regarding protein The problem is even if we prefer natural foods over some protein powder the daily requirement (1gram protein per kg weight) is still high. I am diligently following a self curated diet plan with good amount of food diversity still the protein intake only fulfills ~65-70% of total protein requirement. It makes me wonder that something is wrong with the protein requirement calculations.

In our home, I have been fed sattu from childhood. And the sattu we ate, is not channa sattu. It used to be a mix of chana and jau sattu. (Chana and barley ) This makes it a complete protein, is tastier and has diverse micronutrients. I don’t know why people only talk about chana sattu. Thats not how its eaten. It is eaten as a mix, that has been the traditional appeoach, thats tastier and healthier, gives complete protein!

Moreover, try not to wait for confirmations. Don’t be a student of “researches”. Researches are cliche. Try things, if they give you benefit, thats good. If they don’t even after tweaking, leave them. Research is done to prove a point. When points are proven by on ground practical results, researches are redundant. Its like you want a bus more than you want to reach a destination. So do not wait for stupid research fanatics like All about Nutriotion to guide you. I’m 30 year old woman taking collagen from last 6 months & let me tell you, it has done wonders on my gut health, skin & hair. My skin is effortlessly glowing without a single acne & fine line. Remember, this things are good, but taking it too much can be harmful even if it is a fruit or vegetable. Only consume a handful or a glass one per day. Also, some would need to have tablets and multivitamins, coz we all have different body. So, feel free to consult your doctor too for your own health and safety. I also use to think consuming everything which are natural will change my life, and it did in some. Yet, i have to take tablets for hair and skin, especially those effervescent tablet. Thats when only i saw the complete change in me. I had food with less oil, sugar and ingredients not good for our health, yet, i saw changes in my weight and how i feel every day, but wasnt seeing any changes in my hair growth or clear skin. So i added a all green effervescent tablet, and that's how i saw changes that i wanted to see. Since the cutting of sugar and oils didntade huge changes in me, i resumed using oil and sugar that i usually used to take. And after this too, i have no health issues.
