Another really useful video. Your tip about U tube golf swing tips is very relevant to us all - it becomes addictive to look at all this advice and from experience often detrimental! Thanks once again

Thanks David. When I was a kid there was no KZbin but we had magazines..... I used to love getting all of them and finding out "The Secret".... Now it is just easier with KZbin. I am glad you are enjoying my work. Brian

Another great video full of valuable information! I get much more out of videos helping me to manage the course, eliminate the club selection mistakes, and lower my scores! I have learned to stay away from swing fix videos! I only watch one swing "coach" who I have a relationship receiving coaching in person and by video exchange.

Good advice as always Brian.. and thankyou for the free download... I'm 66yr lefty 10 hcp with a dodgy short game.. average 8 greens in reg but 38 putts per round... I suffer from L O F T see you next week👍

Thanks for the feedback Ian. I hope you enjoy the Handout. The current PGA Tour average for greens in reg is 11.5 and they average 3 under par. If you are off 10 averaging 8 greens a round you need to also prioritize your chipping, pitching and bunker shots. You will love my putting series coming up in the near future. I am smiling about your L O F T remark. It is a classic. Keep watching. Brian

Great video Brian on the 5 Biggest Mistakes Golfer Make! I found that your summation and statistics quite informative. When I was younger, I devoted more time to the game than I do now as a senior. While working full time, I still went to the range three to four times a week and played two to three rounds of golf per week. Now, I devote most of my time to putting and chipping because I feel that it makes up at least 50% of your score. I don't get stuck with certain clubs for certain distances. I take into consideration other factors such as wind with me or against me and what hazards are in front of me. Lastly, I disagree with you on using You Tube instructors. Without You Tube, I would not have found you! I've played this game long enough to know the basics. It's the refinement of these basics that I am after and I know when it fits my purpose. You have helped me a lot along the way Brian! Hopefully, you'll take me to the finish line for where I want to be at my age. Keep up the good work!

Ah John. What a lovely comment to wake up to. Thank you. It's funny how people at golf ranges all over the world are trying to work on their golf swing and do some of the moves they see PGA Tour players doing in their swing. Yet the one thing they should be copying from PGA Tour players is the amount of time they devote to short game work. But putting greens and short game areas are almost vacant..... You have a great handle on things and are improving your scores by being smart. I am greatful to KZbin for allowing me to connect with people all over the world that I would not have been able to do so without it. I always appreciate your insights John. Brian

KZbin is a funny beast. I used to think it was all about subscribers. Only 22% of my views come from subscribers. Infuse the old 80/20 rule applies here too.

@@fitzygolfpro It appears like "how to lower your score" videos get a lot of views! I'm sure you do a great job in analyzing the type of lessons you think would help golfers to improve.

I used to think about video topics that would get the views. Over the past 4 years I only make videos for the people that I coach normal every day average golfers. These don’t get lots of views but they build a great community like I have here on KZbin.

Great information. Now I need to remember it when I play. One thing that I have done since seeing your chip video is to use my 5 hybrid on chips to the green with no trouble in the way and a fairly smooth not watery approach to the hole. My chips have been very good and I use a putting stroke with the 5 hybrid.

Thanks Brian, I make most of those mistakes and more, if I slice two drives left on first two holes, I try and remember all the things I should be doing with my drive with mixed success for rest of the round. Just have to decide what my GOTO shot should be.

As you can see Mike that is pretty normal human behavior. We have to try and fix things. We just need to get the ego out of the way. I would do some work hitting your hybrid from the tee. That would be a good plan B to start with. I am happy to chat to you about it at the range soon. Brian

Refreshing Brian. So many good points and tips. I really enjoyed that. Nice to know that I'm not average as my usual shot is a fade but into the green it's a pull left. My lesson last week was to try and correct it. Looked good towards the end. We split each one hour lesson to 30 minutes each between my golf buddy and me. Anybody who hasn't got Brian's handout ,get one it's the best I've seen. Will probably have another lesson this week as still damp and soggy. Stay well Brian and thanks.

When things go awry not trying to fix my swing on the course
@fitzygolfpro
@fitzygolfpro 4 жыл бұрын
That is probably the hardest one to fix. It shouldn't be but it is. We always think of a little tweak should fix it but getting the tweak right can blow out our score. Our ego get's in the way. Just be disciplined and say no. I am going with my plan B , C, or D and it really will help. Good luck with it. Brian

Hi Brian I met you at the practice fairway when you had the lessons for the kids. I came to play 9 holes yesterday and I was just mucking around with the driver, and I drove the 5th and 8th green. Would you consider these big hits?
@fitzygolfpro
@fitzygolfpro 4 жыл бұрын
I remember you Andrew. They are certainly on the longer side. Particularly on 8 as it is a dead straight hole. The 5th goes straight down hill and gets a lot of roll so it driving the green there is certainly more prevalent that the 8th. Well done. Brian
