I went all out and started with a custom 105 gallon tank and I still regret it two years later. It was so hard to care for and maintain with no experience.

@@DriftedDreams Yeah a lot of work…but you can pretty much put whatever you want in there

If you want an even more nerdy word than "caudal fin" that spot was technically on whats called a "caudal peduncle." Fun word, doesn't get used enough

As far as peacock gudgeons, or any fish, refusing flake food, I more or less stopped using flake food many years ago. I prefer "real" foods for my fish (i.e. minimally processed, as natural as possible), like daphnia, bloodworms, brine shrimp, blackworms, etc., using a mixture of frozen and live. If the species of fish I’m feeding are big enough, I’ll even feed them small _Neocaridina_ or ghost shrimp. Not usually for peacock gudgeon, lol. But generally frozen is easiest for most people. Instead of flake food though, I like the various Hikari pellets, and I crush them in a mortar and pestle, then sprinkle the powder into the tank. Then it’s a lot easier for the fish the swallow. I hardly see them chewing and spitting it out at all.. I also briefly shut off the filter during feedings to avoid sucking it all up.

I think this is a really nice list of fish for a 20 gallon. I would love to have blue rams, someday. I was wondering about a plant I saw in the intro, it's at about :06 and it's on the left side, and has really nice broad leaves. Can you tell me the name of it, please?

I’m really glad you enjoyed it! So I think I’m looking at the same plant and it looks to be just a standard Anubias. Could be wrong but I’m pretty sure

@@Fishman2114 Oh, well I have several varieties of anubias, but none of them look like that. I thought it might be a crypt I don't know about. I'm going to set up a tank for my friend's kids and thought that was a lovely plant. They are determined to have a betta, so I want some good plants!

hm I'd like to add beckfordi pecilfish and threadfin rainbows to the list as they are perfect for 20 gallon tanks along with blue paradise fish for the center piece fish as they are pretty in the case for the males.

I disagree on the panda cories. Even in a 40 gallon, mine went up and down the sides all the time.
