Hey Tarantula kat, I am great fan of yours. Nice to see that you keep up with the channels of other hobbyists. I am looking into getting h. Chilensis and it's good to know that this species can get that old. I obtained a pink zebra beauty because of how long lived they are. Tarantulas that live long is a thing for me. After four years she is finally having an abdomen as wide as a fingernail. You got to have patience with slow growers lol. Anyhow, it was nice to discover you're comment here.

Thanks for the shout out, as for the logo, honestly I prefer the old one as logos are better to be with less detail and adding the small but to it wouldn't make too much of a difference in my opinion. As for the shirts I'd say printful but for that you need a website or an etsy store which really wouldn't be bad in your case , I use their shirts for my shop and I stick to bella canvas and gildan

So about C. elegans. I have raised one since it was so tiny I had to use magnifying glass, I even prekilled fruit flies at the very beginning, cause they are really tiny as slings, mine was about 5mm. I have about 20 - 22 degrees, so not very hot and I keep them in quite dry substrate. They both seem to be doing great.

I LOVE the D. diamantinensis! I saw your rehousing video some time back and HAD to get 2 juveniles. Over the summer they both matured and I had a pair! I now have several slings from that pairing, and though he passed within weeks, she is still going and was recently paired with another male.

dwarve tarantulas definitely need more love 💕 and you chose nice species, H chil and D diamant and P patch are some of my favourites even tho theyre little but omg youre so right the most difficult thing is feeding the very very small slings I have some atm that are just so tiny, Neostenotarsus sp. suriname, Ami sp. panama and Bonnetina cyaneifemur and theyre like 3-5mm and so easy to lose even in the smallest spider pots I have and they all need pre-killed prey which I hate doing 😢 I will be glad when theyre bit bigger and can have normal feeding 😷

I think they're pretty cool. Space savers too if you live in small apartment or have limited space where you can keep your pets. I had a Neischnocholus sp. panama for like 3 weeks but unfortunately it didn't make it. I chose it as a freebie from fearnottarantulas so it didn't hurt so much but I sure did want to grow that baby up. Hopefully in my new room I can keep things warmer and not worry so much about losing tiny specimens like that.

Hey Alex! Just a heads up - Colombia (2 Os) is the country, and the name of the tarantula. Columbia (with a U) is the District in the USA where the White House is. Common mistake but worth knowing!

I got my first dwarf tarantula as a freebie from an order I made. It was a K. Brunnipes and the size of the sling really threw me off! It was almost hard to find it was so small, and having never dealt with a sling that small before I had to contact the breeder for tips on how to feed and care for a sling that was so small. As it turns out it is super simple and they are very strong little spiders. I would not hesitate to recommend these to anyone!

Brilliant selection! I have all of these and by far the Cyriocosmus Bicolor is the most interesting. Although the Dolichothele Diamentinensis is beautiful, the Bicolor is very fun to keep and keeps me on my toes, often bolting out of the enclosure and throwing threat poses, despite being 1.5-2 inches lol

I got a H. species Columbia Lg last July. It has to have been 2nd instar. It stayed in its little dram vial for a couple months and then I moved it up to a big dram vial. Now it’s sitting at about an inch and a half and it will destroy large crickets!

The only time I ever had a T escape was my Hapalopus sp. Colombia. I didn’t even realize it had got out till the next morning. I had its enclosure on my bedside table and I rolled over in the morning to pick up my glasses and it was sitting on top of them! I put it back in its home and never had any problems since then. It must have bolted while I opened it up to feed. I opened it and then walked away to grab the roach

To be dead honest, when I heard you were changing your logo I panicked thinking I'd lose my favorite part - the swirly eyes! Haha! The old one is great because it always gave me the old halloween goofy plastic spider vibes, and as others pointed out the simplicity makes it easier for printing, watermarks, and monocrome. The new one, however, isn't that much more complicated and would work just as well so long as you made sure that the red/orange and purple were still distinguishable as different colours when desaturated. Both are still whimsical and help make them far less scary than some of us are taught to think, which is something the poor critters really need to win over the hearts of us arachnophobes, and to me that's probably the most important part. :)

I don't have too much dwarf species, a d.diamantinensis which I only got 2 months ago and so I can't say much about her yet, two c.elegans and a c.perezmilesi. The latter one I'd recommend better since she rules out all the disadvantages of c.elegans. More often on display, less skittish, no hair kicking, inquisitive, more webbing... Might be just her individual traits though :) When I first saw someone write about colombia sp. klein I thought youtube translated some titles (which it does at random and partially) since klein means small in my language :D You've just killed my doubts about that. It's a species I've been having on my to-do list for quite some time but I always found something with higher priority. But on the list still, some day I'll get one! About your logo, I personally like the old one better. Reasons are pretty much the same as Karlo Turic stated below.

Love your channel! You should hang/ shelve some of your merchandise behind you as a backdrop for your videos! Also, the original logo is simplistic, reads well from a distance, and is easily scalable, so it is pretty solid as it is. However that new logo is more interesting while being similar enough to easily recognize, therefore if it isn't going to take massive effort, I would switch. But really your old one is fine! Keep it up!

1st off, great video. I'm a dwarf fan myself. Like u said, starting out u just don't care for dwarfs. Ppl are really missing out. The personality that comes with a dwarf is like no other. 2nd, ur logo. I like the simple one. I didn't want u to change it UNTIL I seen the new one. I like the new one. I like the simple design so 8 was glad u didn't change the entire logo. Adding some color and the lines on the abdomen looks really nice. I say go for it 👍

hi there i need some help. i have a baby curly haired tarantula i just brought home yesterday, and since then he will not come down from the roof of the cage. i have coco fiber as substrate and a hide for him aswell as a water bowl. i sprayed the one side so it’s super dry. Do i just leave him be and wait for him to come down? how will i feed him if he’s on the top of the lid?

I like the new logo with the vector graphic but I would make it more simplistic as far as not so many colors and great detail. I would also change the typeface but of course that's just my two cents. :) As a graphic designer I would change and change and change until someone made me stop. LOL! Purple is great! I think I really like the old logo a little better. I certainly wouldn't change everything because the difference is slight, in my opinion. The only dwarf that I have an interest in is the former euathlus sp red. And that because of the friendly factor.

I'm not sure if avicularia minatrix are considered dwarf but mine is still pretty tiny and I've had her for a while. But they keep their pink sling coloration so I'm not really waiting on anything other than a molt I can actually see well enough to sex 😂😂😂

I think they max out at 3 inches. I'm not sure if they technically consider it dwarf. I've never heard them called that even though some on my list reach three inches. So what about my logo, you think I should stick with the original logo or change to the new?

Hi how are u doing I am Ejdge I had 3 tarantulas in my life so far I started when I was 32 yrs old now I am 56 yrs old 1st was a Mexican curly hair female she had a good demeaner alil Nervous grew pretty big feet wise up to 5” 2nd was a Carbinia versacolor pinktoe turned out female lived from sling and grew I kept for alil over 14 yrs and now I have a BrachyPelma Smithi I purchased as but turned out a Mexican RedKnee female as a sling I was lucky to have a female over 25ft and still kicking a legspan 6 1/2” eating 12 large crickets she eats everyone of them I have her in a 10 gal with desert sand and a cave being she’s a dweller if anyone would like to do a project with me I am in Ct I am sure we can work something out

I really like the old logo. This may not make much sense because the old logo obviously isn't a realistic representation and has a lot of similar design elements, but something about that new logo comes across as too cartoony to me.
