I hope this isn't a warning song like Chester made when he was trying to tell us through song about how he was suffering emotionally. Ivan idk if you will ever see this but just know we all love you man. We dont want another Chester scenario. Your music has helped so many of us and your commitment to our soldiers is awesome.

As someone whom has suffered much loss and pain of loved one's whom have come and gone in my lifetime, let me offer some sympathy first and foremost. Now, for some Wisdom and advice, from an old soul to you kiddo. Don't EVER let death darken or torment your life, don't let your mourning turn to misery. It is an integral part of LIFE. everything eventually dies. Even STARS someday do. Here is the lesson for you though: let it ENRICH YOUR OWN! this may not make sense now, or perhaps even later, but someday I promise you as your mourning, you'll get it. You'll understand this lesson. I cannot nor will not offer you the solution to pain. I offer only guidance, save that you shouldn't let those whom touch your heart and life do anything but make you enjoy every bit of sunlight and rainfall. Because, there are two paths you can follow: A simple choice of which do you take? A life on a path that is straight, clear and easy? Or a life, full of twists and turns, strewn with fog and difficult? Look back to this question, as you progress in life. And I guarantee, if you do... If you find the gift in this lesson? You'll be the better and stronger and happier for it. Live on, grow and grow up, and never shun either the dark days or the light days. Sincerely, an old scarred soul. P.S. Never be afraid or ashamed to laugh and smile with life. Just don't forget to cry some, too...

When day comes someone passes ... Don't hesitate to mourn. But, don't regret their life. CELEBRATE it! Don't hesitate to cry and feel the pain of loss. But, let it enrich and brighten your own life. Carry the stories and lessons, with pride and fondness. Because, you'll find, it brightens those dark days you live through. Shun not the rain, for without it, you cannot appreciate the brilliance of a sunny day. Nor without the sun, the coolness and calm of the rainfall.

I'm writing this in case I'm gone tomorrow I'm writing this in case I've moved along There's something that I hope you'll remember That life is not a game, it's a song So take the best parts of me Locked away without the keys And know that I'm forever by your side When the lights go down Know that I am never far away When the sun burns out I'll be waiting on the brighter side of grey If you're reading this, I know you're feeling sorrow If you're hearing this, I know you're probably scared Just know that all the things you want are borrowed And all you get to keep is all you've shared So wipe away the tears for me Know that we've made history Remember no one ever really dies When the lights go down Know that I am never far away When the sun burns out I'll be waiting on the brighter side of grey [Instrumental Break] When the lights go down Know that I am never far away When the sun burns out I'll be waiting on the brighter side of grey

My mother passed away on the 24th of April this year... I was her carer for over 6years.. I watched by and supported her through all of the pain and suffering and witnessed losing her life on 3 different occasions but she came through, she fought and fought until her body could no longer fight.. she died on her shield.. I found this song the day after she passed and it's kept me strong... It's as if she's speaking to me through this song.. I take in so much comfort from this song especially the verse "noone ever really dies" she may be gone in body but she's lives on in spirit and through myself my brother and my daughter and neice.. Im proud that you fought hard to see the birth of your grandchildren and see them grow into the little people they are now.. your legacy will flourish. I love you mum.. Thankyou ffdp for your support through such a heartbreaking period in my life.

Ivan, as a new FFDP discoverer and fan (how in the heck have I never heard your music before?!), I just want to say thank you so very, very much for your stellar music. Your lyrics touch my heart every time. I literally listen to your music every single day at some point. Thank you for sharing yourself through your raw, emotional music. What a gift and so much talent. Please keep it up, and congrats on your sobriety!!! You rock!

This song is ingrained in my soul. I discovered this song the day I learned my parents were going to put our dog of 20 year to sleep im 21 and this song reminds me of that time. Its only been a few weeks and I couldn't bring myself to play it until today when I got my dogs name tattooed on me in his honor and I still can't stop myself from crying. The lyrics just lined up perfectly with that time of my life and now its possibly one of the most important songs in my life.

I love how they mix hard rock music with softer lyrics and then back to loud bangin drums. And who ever created the story for their video "Wrong side of Heaven" , is very talented. That video brings on the tears every time I watch it. I would have never expected it to end that way with the strong guy in charge, ending up homeless. Our soldiers who give their life to fight for our country, should NEVER have to struggle for anything once they return home.

Alright, I have a confession to make. I've been stuck in this weird sense of emotional detachment for a while now. I don't really feel a lot of happiness, sadness, or much of anything to be honest. I just feel sorta numb, and me having to live during this lockdown and time of great uncertainty has only exacerbated that feeling. I don't have much passion for things I used to enjoy, or motivation to do much of anything. But anyways, I saw this song appear in one of my playlists today, and I figured I might as well give it a listen. I'm not kidding when I say I had an intense emotional reaction to this song. As I was listening, it made me think about my life in general and everybody close to me. My family, and my close friends. It made me think about how much they love me, and how much I love them. I didn't feel numb anymore. For the first time in about four or five years, I actually started crying. It was the most satisfyingly emotional experience I've ever had, even surpassing me recently landing my first ever payed job. This is the first time in a VERY long time that any piece of media, be it a song, movie, book, video game or TV show, has given me such a visceral emotional reaction, in a good way. Thank you FFDP. Thank you so much for making this song.

We just lost a young man in our family last week. His mom and I raised our children together and it's a hurt I've never had before. I was going through our pictures when this song came across my Playlist and I've never heard it before. I found his 5 finger death punch album by his bed, and added it. Felt like he was talking to us. I've seen loss, but he lost his battle with mental illness the day before his 22nd birthday. Him and my daughter share the same birthday and they used to celebrate together . We love you Z.... we miss you.❤

My dad and I were talking in the car just driving. This song comes on and he tells me to listen to it because he wants this to be one of the songs that plays when he passes. For almost my entire life it has just been me and my dad. He is one of the most hard working people that I know and whatever that may be going on inside of his head he always tries to make it not affect him. Every day I think of when that time will come when he passes. He is my hero and has done so much for me that I can not even thank him for. I have always tried to show him how much I love and appreciate him he has done so much for me and my little sister. Dad I love you and I'm never gonna be the same when you pass. I just hope that it isn't for a really long time. For anyone out there treasure the moments you have with your family and especially your parents. You never know when they will pass on.
