Five injured as escaped Household Cavalry horses bolt through London in six mile rampage

Five Household Cavalry horses, including one soaked with blood, have run loose in central London after throwing their military riders during their morning exercise. At least one soldier was injured after the spooked horses smashed into cars outside the Clermont Hotel on Buckingham Palace Road, Victoria. Commuters said they heard the soldier screaming in pain after they saw him fall from his horse when the animal ran into a car. The horses were spooked during their daily morning exercise on Horse Guards Parade, in Whitehall, at around 8.40am. One of the horses has also seemingly ran into a double-decker bus, smashing its windscreen, while another reportedly crashed into a black cab. Emergency services rushed to the help the injured soldier, who was seen being treated on the road. #horse #london #breakingnews

Such a bad situation for the horses, notwithstanding the injured people involved too. Those horses are trained to withstand noise, sudden movement etc, so it must have been something exceptional to spook tham like that. I've seen horses in that area run loose before, and you can't stop them. They'd just barrel right on through. Best let them run off their stress, keeping traffic out of their way, and guiding the horses towards a park where possible, or a dead end road. My horse was badly injured by running into a plate glass window when spooked, and she died of her injuries. Hearing how those horses ran right into a bus and a taxi gave me awful flash backs. I pray they all recover. 🥺🐎🐎🐎🐎 🐎🐎

glad they got an operation so fast, I'm six weeks into waiting for a knee operation after falling down stairs, littoral can not walk, had to buy my own leg brace from Amazon, NHS after waiting 8 hours for an x-ray claimed my knee was fine after review contacted me to say "sorry that was wrong, you need an operation to heal as your knee is displaced and the tendons are completely severed from your thigh to knee" from 1 to 10 pain, I live with a 7/8, stuck in my home going on 6 weeks I still waiting for an appointment for pre-operation as now it has healed incorrect, glad the horse got help so fast.

How is this possible? The Army is going to Hell. Letting tourists mess with soldiers in Whitehall and not controlling traffic around horses. Horses first, motor vehicles second. I suspected this was due to one of the podgy stable girls who now pose as a Cavalry Troops being unable to control her horse, but seems it was a male. Nobody respects British soldiers anymore and the high command is letting them down. Nor can these soldiers ride properly anymore, since fox hunting was abolished. They used to be expert horsemen, having learned from fox-hunting experience at Melton Mowbray in Leicestershire, where the Cavalry Troops had a presence, how to ride in the toughest conditions. Now they just fall off, like amateurs.
