I flipped out SO HARD when he showed that last resturant- as soon as I saw the animatronic wolf head and king tut head, I instantly recognized them from Spooky World Cafe from Chicago, from the 90s. When they closed and reopened (as an ESPN Zone no less!) My 9 year old self was crushed! I shit you not I've always wondered what became of the DOZENS of animatronics in that restaurant. I am at peace seeing that they traveled to a new eatery to entertain new folk!.

Frankenstein's Monster is trying to wake up from this horrible dream. Trying to open his eyes to find life's not as it would seem. He never felt like he belonged here with these creatures so depraved, if only he could find a way out of this place so he could finally plan his escape.

The Slaughtered Lamb is in walking distance of the Barrow Street Theater; not a restaurant, but I did see an amazing production of Sweeney Todd there, where, for a little extra, audience members got to enjoy savory pies from a menu curated by a former White House pastry chef. One of the best meals I’ve had in my life.

You know a funny thing about the fact that vampires can’t see they’re own reflections is that in modern day times that wouldn’t be a problem for them because back in those days, when the main way to see ones own reflection being a mirror, is that mirrors back then were backed with SILVER which is one of the things that vampires are weak against so it makes sense that they couldn’t be seen in those mirrors. Modern day mirrors are usually backed with aluminum which no vampire is weak to that we currently know of. This information can also be applied to phones and cameras meaning that a vampire could definitely have a picture of themselves taken in modern times!

Fun fact , according to folk lore vampires are susepitcal to silver.its a "pure" metal and early mirrors were backed with silver which wouldn't reflect the "impure" vampire. It's theorized that modern mirrors backed with other materials would probably reflect them.

Dracula is the book I'm re-reading while recovering from kidney failure and a month long hospital stay. I read it in high school but it's great to come back to it and appreciate the flavors of the narrative, the structure, the pacing, etc. Also, Voltaire: a couple of years ago, I sent a message through your website with a question. I figured I had a 25% chance of some representative actually getting back to me and answer my question. I was blown away when you personally replied to my message. It means a lot that you take the time to respond to your fans directly. Thank you.

The Wolfman is one of my favorite movies. I love Lon Chaney Jr. in the role and it's always been memorable to me. To be honest all the movies are memorable. I still remember catching Dracula on TV be accident because I couldn't fall asleep. And I remember falling asleep to the third Creature of the Black Lagoon movie and never finished it. But my favorite is the Wolfman, there's just something about the way Lon Chaney Jr, plays the character that's always stuck with me. Also my favorite part of Universal Studios in Florida was going into the monster cafe and watching the old movie trailers and seeing how many I knew.

Was just watching your live stream, but it ended before I could post a chat there, so here is what I wanted to say. You mentioned that you were a pessimist. That is good. An optimist, when he is right, is merely satisfied that things turned out well, but if he is wrong, the optimist is totally crushed and thrown into a fit of utter despair. On the other hand, if a pessimist is correct and things turn out bad, he is not crushed since it is what he expected. But if the pessimist is wrong and things turn out good, he is ecstatically happy. Therefore, by this incontrovertible sequence of flawless logic, a person has a much better chance of being very happy by being a pessimist.

There used to be a Jekyll and Hyde bar in Edinburgh, but I believe it's gone now? (my sister tried to find it when she went there by herself a couple of years ago, unsuccessfully) Never got the chance to see it myself, but I was told it also featured the door to the bathrooms hidden behind a book-case. There is a pub here in Oslo too called Dr. Jekyll's, which I have been to a lot, but its more of a footballpub with a victorian library-aesthetic (which is a bit of a strange combo if you ask me) and it also has the bathrooms hidden behind a book-case door, which is cool. Love the aesthetic of that place, dont really care for the football though, hehe.

There are alot of very particularly and specifically themed restaurants in Japan, so I would think if you looked hard enough you could probably find *almost* anything you want there. Hahaha I wonder, how did the owners react when they realized you were the singer of Cannibal Buffet? I would be crazy excited, but then, I get hyped over many things.
