@@A330Driver flights to and from airports XD. Can load the FMS, taxi to the runway, fly to another airport, shoot an approach to mins, and shut down and do it again 🤣

Thank you for all of your videos. When I discovered the channel a year ago the amount of information in the videos was definitely overwhelming for someone who was impressed with himself after taking off without a crash in a default 74. It's incredible how much knowledge you could pass in those FREE videos in a year, that I can now enjoy the full potential of the PMDG 737 in every phase of the flight, having quite a good idea of what every system does. I can't even watch the most of other sim youtubers now without thinking what on earth are they doing most of the time.

I’m so great full you made this video. I just downloaded the add-on but before taking it out of my virtual hangar, i wanted to see where it was in the development cycle. Reading the update log from their website is helpful but not nearly as meaningful as watching you fly the aircraft! Great video….keep up the amazing work!

I'll be sticking to my Virtualcol 195. At least i never had high expetations and it can basically do the same as this one but for a fraction of the price.

I applaude your patience, Emanuel! It's still a very early build, and the word "release" or "access" shouldn't, in my opinion, be anywhere near it yet. We flight simmers have very limited time to enjoy this hobby and are looking for specific things in it: Immersion. Streamlined operations. We want to deal with actual flight challenges, be it weather, actual airplane operation, ATC if on VATSIM. I certainly do NOT have any will to deal with an addon simply not doing Its part. It's not a specific system of function. It's a whole experience of an airplane that is simply not ready to be released and enjoyed. It's a decent, early, work in progress. Thanks for sharing your continued experience with the progress of this product.

Thanks for your videos (especially on the ATR) which have been so helpful! I debated between getting this or the CRJ and went with the CRJ. I liked the ERJ back in the FSX days but will wait to see if this one moves to a state where it both works and looks better.

That's fine if you don't really appreciate it. It's early access so of course it has some issues and quirks. I just got it and think I like it so far. I have about a dozen high fidelity payware planes as well. The Pmdg still takes the cake though

yeah... and then I'm looking at it in sim and it can NOT CORRECTLY fly an ILS. It somehow manages to get onto a LOC after 6NM of trying to intercept it and it eventually manages to hold that loc. Disgusting.

I haven't had much success flying this one. I try every update, and so far bugs have gotten in the way. Last time it was a tendency to dive once I engaged the AP.

Unfortunately I didn't have time to watch the entire video, so skipped portions and then to the final review. I think I heard you were using the FSDT KIAH scenery. Were you using an add on scenery for KAUS? Thanks.

if i had this plane.. I'd just hafta fly it the way I used to fly the stock fsx aircraft back in the day. Not even really worrying with vnav or anything and just manually climb and descend. And if i were on vatsim I'd just ask for vectors in 😂

Emmanuel, has the buttons in the cockpit ever stopped working mid flight? This happened to me twice in this aircraft now…not sure how to fix it.

If you have't departed on the return flight yet or laying over, head over to Salt Lick BBQ and get yourself a sliced brisket samich. You will not regret it, even if you have to delay the flight. I would swing by in my F-22, if you were interested in some low level, along the river, but I am in WSSS, making my way up the coast. I've been on far too many DC-9-30's between AUS and IAH. thankfully thats all behind me now, but it is a fun hop to hand fly. It appears to me like the E170 might make a nice hand flyer bit I think I'll stick with my PMDG Boeings for automated flights. I think I'll wait on the E170. Thanks for the review, it is very helpful.

@@countryflyboy8255 Yup, started flying them just after the landing gear collapse at DEN, which I heard from the rental car lot. I stopped traveling around 2004 so I went the distance with Continental and Gordon Bethune. It was a great airline and I think that is why United is as good as it is.

@@A330Driver It can do most of the things you want a plane to do in MSFS. It's still rough, and early access yes, but it's certainly flyable and enjoyable. It's just lacking the VNAV, which is being developed. I fly it every few days and its definitely usable, and fun. At least it has an EFB, and they actually meet their deadlines for releasing patches and updates. The developers are also really open to feedback and engage with their community. You're much more critical of this product than I've seen you be of pretty much any other product, especially since it markets itself as Early Access.

It has less capabilities than the asobo A320. You can't use it on vatsim unless you are a human calculator, it can't fly v/s, can't capture ils, half of the fmc is missing, RA callouts do their best to put you on the opposite runway markers and all that for €34. The A310, CJ4, TBM, 747 that come included in the standard version of the simulator are miles ahead of this e170 shaped thing. Not to mention the €20 ATRs that simply blow it out of the water.

@@A330Driver If you want to talk about basic things, can the pmdg fly an accurate RF leg? PMDG have been struggling with LNAV for years. The hate boner you have for these developer makes me question how much I consume your content.

Emmanuel, what do you thing about high rate of climb in FLCH mode? It's unrealistic in my opinion

That doesn't seem to be a problem from FLCH, but more by A/T adding thrust too quickly when starting the climb. Otherwise the engines might be overpowered as well, hard to tell. Certainly the rate we saw after continuing the climb from 5000ft was too much.

I’d say the best E-Jets to fly is the recent release of X-Crafts new ones that were highly developed into study level for X Plane 12

I really want to fly the e jets but until it’s not properly out of beta state and it’s a decent product to fly, without having to get stressed of missing features or things that don’t properly work for a normal procedure operation, I’m not going to buy it

Why do the cockpit shadows look terrible in all 3rd party aircraft (in this case its terrible)? Asobo's aircraft have by far the smoothest cockpit shadows, and I don't understand why because in all other visual aspects there are already many superior 3rd party aircraft... I imagine it must be some technical limitation or something.

I have always heard that if you have customs views set inside a plane, it will bug out your shadows and make them look horrible. Could be something to do with it? I noticed this on one of my flights yesterday.

The FSS Embraer 170 as it was five months after its release. By now we're a year into the Early Access (it still isn't out of it btw) and some new features have been added and textures have been changed a bit.

If you can do a whole flight like you did, why make people that love the Embraers wait “two or three years” to buy it when it’s perfectly flyable from point A to point B? Oh, you’re looking at it as a professional pilot, of course. Less than PMDG standards you will never say a product is good enough.

The devs will prob aim to achieve ATR-72 level of simulation (full simulation of normal procedures) which is still great

@@lt_dreams96 An ERJ-175 at ASOBO ATR-42/72 level with decent LNAV/VNAV and good model/sounds, it would be great for the ERJ. When Emmanuel says that it is at that level, I'll buy it. But bite me once (Virtualcol) shame on them, bite me twice (FSS) shame on me.

I wonder if those guys developing this aircraft have ever been on an actual aircraft, let alone in a cockpit. Those cabin announcements sound like the FA was talking to you over HF radio… I mean if that thing would at least be able to do a basic IFR flight that wouldn‘t matter in the whole picture, but as of now those little things are just another indication of the total lack of competence by these devs. We‘re 5 months in and still likely years away from even an alpha state. Hear me, in a year this will be out of active development.

@@A330Driver I think $40 is a steep price for an alpha aircraft. I'm afraid to see the final asking price. Buying into this is really a leap of faith for the consumer.

This developer deceived the community with this aircraft and despite the "improvements", there simply has not been anything substantially updated to date. While, I do credit the developer for the improvements thus far, I believe this product is still very much a scam and I appalled that it is still being allowed to be sold.

My last comment may have been a little harsh, I hate doing that. It's just disappointing for me to see and hear someone who has a lot of influence in MSFS not take the time to help non purist simmers. There are lots of casual simmers who don't have 3-4 hours to setup and make a flight. This plane is a great starter regional for someone prior to taking on a Fenix or PMDG. You make no mention of building flight plans in the sim world map which the others can't do. The highly automated easy start-up. Would have love to hear how Embraer differs in their take-off management from Boeing or Airbus. But I do see you are not really familiar with those differences. Just consider your audience. It is not just purists but some who might actually find it easy and fun to fly.

The audience for this particular video was not people trying to learn erj systems. This wasn't a tutorial. This was simply a review as of the latest update to show what's changed and what still is missing. It's flight sim. No reason to get as upset as you did.

Wow, what a totally biased review. What did FSS do to you? Did they not ask you to be a test pilot or refuse you something. You knew going into this flight the FMC has not been touched. They said it would be REPLACED not upgraded yet you still waisted most of the flight with those negatives. Do me a favor, spend some time in a new plane and focus on proper operation and what people need to know to properly fly it. Oh and next time you are in the PMDG or Fenix point out the year or so PMDG has been promising an EFB, or why most people with lower end systems should avoid Fenix. Hopefully your next stream will be a little more informative, yes I do watch your stuff now and then, right before I take my evening naps...LOL.

I even referenced the EFB in the title of my last PMDG update video, not sure what your comments are refering to there. Knowing what's going on the in the background there's simply no sense to make stupid jokes about it just to feed the reddit community. I never made a secret out of the Fenix's performance either, didn't I even say in one of the very recent (as in past couple days) videos what an fps hog it is? I'm quite sure I did.

@@robertbringhurst2028 FSS did a very poor job on 'early access". They did it to get paid for users to be beta testers, which is very unprofessional, so your comments that PMDG has not delivered on the EFB or Fenix being an FPS hog is so far fetched, not even compares with what FSS did to their reputation with the poor release quality of their ERJ product. FSS has done a tremendous damage to their reputation as MSFS developers and it will take a long time for them to redeem themselves in the eyes of the avid simmers. I'd love to have at least an ERJ with the quality of the Asobo ATR, and I hope they can get there at some point in time.

I disagree with you especially at the price point FSS is selling this product for. There are products that cost less that are better products as of today. I would love to have an ERJ but are holding out for a better product, might consider this one if it is ever fixed.

@@1AllenBlack You mean finished. It is a BETA. Completion is expected 12-14 months from now. It really surprises me how someone who has never even flown it has an opinion.
