Having Springtrap do the goddamn GhostFace knife wipe is insane- its such a fun lil nod to one of the two big roles everyone knows Matthew Lillard for- the "I always come back!" Feels a lil shoed in, but like cmon ya had to have it, its iconic. The suit also being in this in between state of Spring Bonnie and the Springtrap we're familiar with is awesome too

People hate on this scene for not being as graphic and brutal as they wanted it to be, but I think it's a perfect way to do the springlock scene. Remember, the damage happens on the inside and it takes time for all the blood to soak into the suit. And how would they even fit a camera in to show Afton being crushed?

This iteration of afton seems smarter than the games, already knowing about possession, keeping the suit with him and keeping it in good shape (as he’s able to toss for a good while before being springlocked), and feels more manipulative

@@Springsman No seriously. At least Chucky was in his 4th movie when he said it for the first time. Afton was in this movie for like 13 minutes. 5 of those minutes, he was posing as someone else. It makes less of an impact because you barely know who he is and haven't gotten a chance to see what he's even capable of (unless you're already a fan before seeing the movie). If they saved it for the sequel, it would've hit 100 times harder (and made more sense to everyone)

I always wondered if a Freddy's Pizza movie would be like the series played through, or if they would just use the original settings and show a new story, but I was so amazed by this new story and cool animatronics the whole time I was watching it~! And I always wondered how Springtrap would appear or how he would turn into Springtrap in Freddy's 3 from a dead state, but I was really happy that they showed us Springtrap now in this cool story~! Matthew Lillard's acting and the Springtrap costume he wears were also really cool~! I hope a Freddy's 2 movie comes out soon!!

Met Matthew Lillard at Comic Con just this past April. Man he was a genuine soul. While I was in line with about 85 other people, a young lady was having a claustrophobia related panic attack. Matthew got up from his desk and helped her relax.

I watched it with my parents last night! We liked it but didn't love it, 5 out of 10 for all of us, lots of plot holes and not a lot of screen time of freddys. but the practical effects, cinematography and music was great! Can't wait for the sequel because one of the things I love about universal is that they listen to fans and will give us a better movie, 💛
