Five Oaks Farm Kitchen welcomes hungry travelers from near and far for Southern-style breakfast and supper.
Keeping in the tradition of Dr. John and Blanche Ogle, Five Oaks Farm Kitchen welcomes friends and neighbors looking for Southern cooking and hospitality. Here we treat you like family and invite you back when you take a notion. Dr. John and Blanche Ogle legacy and lore date back to String Town in the 1920s. When Sevier County was known as an agriculture community, before the dedication of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, hospitality was in the Ogle’s DNA.
While Dr. John spent his days traveling on horseback attending to his patients, Blanche filled her days caring for their children on the farm. Together they raised four children in their farmhouse which frequently opened its doors to visiting friends and family.
Their hospitality was known throughout the county and their home was filled with laughter, love and the pleasant aromas of down-home cooking.

This looks amazing. Have not tried this place yet. Will put it on the list for the next trip out there! I'm with Gentry on syrup. The only syrup I will eat is Cracker Barrell. Other that that I just do pancakes or french toast with butter. Those grits looked wonderful. I love some good grits! That little park looks great too! The New River flows through our area between where I live and where I grew up. Lots of fun times spent on it during my life. Hope ya'll are having a great day and God bless!

Oh my goodness!!! Just looking at that cinnamon roll with all that icing on it gave me a sugar high!! That griddle cake… never seen such a thing. Is it a pancake it extra thick? Exceptional food presentation on them huge platters. Was Gentry a big lil fella like Henry is now or are the two totally different boys?

@P J L, the giant cinnamon rolls here are amazing, and a great shareable for the whole table! The griddle cakes are huge pancakes that are extra thick. This place is not shy with the portions, and the food is so good. Both of our boys are built differently, but they’re both great eaters, and both of them are athletic (they play soccer). Gentry was a preemie, and it took him a little while to gain weight when he was a toddler, but he eventually, caught up in size. He has has always been a great eater, and he has a high metabolism. Henry has been naturally thick since he was born, has always been a great eater, and since he is active like his big brother Gentry, he has an athletic build. Thanks so much for watching!
