After getting my Prios I'm never going back to normal shoes. I wish someone would make proper boots and working shoes based on these principles. Can't wait to see where this is going.

Just got prios on 8-1-20. Awesome! Just doing 2 miles every morning. Barefooted when I can. Never going back either! I hope xero makes work boots soon also.

this is the exact problem I have with my feet. my feet cave in and I can feel my whole body alignment just fall apart. I wore my converse to the gym and I really don't understand how people can do squats and deadlifts in them without feeling the negative side effects of wearing them. Thanks for the great information!

The issue with work boots are safety regs which require a separated for ladder rung stability. Like the heel on cboy boots to facilitate stirrups, wboots heels help secure your foot to the ladder which it does by contrary to good foot health ideas.

Excellent video. I switched to my mimimalist Unshoes for lifting. Feet are sooo much happier and I can feel my arch getting stronger. When does your lifting shoe line come out? Can't wait to get some because I get "funny" comments about my shoes, LOL!

If your making your own shoes im in. I have fallen arches and have caved in ankles it sucks to lift without good footwear and for working in work boots

Do you guys have a recommendation for work boots? I’ve noticed many boots do that to the feet as well.

Chris' feet are somewhat crooked and mine are like that too - what are the long-term effects of that? Can anything be done to correct that or is it a bone deformity at that point?
@Msanity1015 жыл бұрын
working in physical therapy I can say ive seen some gnarly transformations from people switching up their shoes and training their toes to be more functional. obviously if you have huge bunions and deformities you may be limited in some ways but the body has a wonderful way of trying to piece itself back together.

If your feet look like that, it's a product of modern footwear. The long term effects, as discussed in the video, you get upstream faults in mechanics resulting in 'bad knees', stiff hips, and back pain. In old age, it makes walking, in general, more difficult and can result in slue foot. Think of it as a car with bad tires; the suspension, the frame, how it rides, mpg, all of it is affected negatively by tires/wheels that are inefficient. Parts wear before they're supposed to. Dress shoes are the culprit for both men and women. Also, your shoes are probably too narrow. LEMS is one of the companies that makes those little toe splayers as you see in the video, but you can just as easily try to get your fingers between your toes and be more mindful of how you walk. Letting your big toe lead in foot movements is the foundation. 60% of hand function is your thumb. Your foot is the same, but not that many know that.

Modern shoes are detrimental to our own health and strength.
