There was very little debt in the 1930's. Today the U.S. is awash in it. If a debt collapse occurs it could take out thousands of banks, and homelessness and hunger could be widespread. What looms on the horizon could make the 1930's seem like a picnic in the park, and I believe millions of people are unprepared as well as ignorant of how bad it can get.

People working past retirement age is unrealistic. There are not enough jobs even for the healthy, capable oldsters. Why should seniors take jobs when there are not enough for the young?

It's really not a matter of paying the debt back. It's about being able to comfortably service the debt we have. We can't service the debt without QE and/or backdoor QE.

I am a conservative- so I see things from the perspective of the right. I clearly see the radical left pulling the Dems further to the left. NOW if I pretend I am a typical Dem on the left, the GOP all look misguided. And I can see the very conservative GOP members willing to separate from their party in standing for very conservative principles. It looks similar to the left. But I have to see it from their perspective to draw that distinction.

I get $963 month total SSI and Social security. They said they will cut back Social security by 25% in bout 7 to 9 years so im trying to get n habit of living on 25% less or bout $725 month the remainder I put to my highest % debts and mortgage. I also get 99 food stamps its rough but im trying to live off 75 food stamps n the remaining 24 I stockpile. Sales.coupons.

I eat twice day. Breakfast either bacon n eggs or olde fashioned oatmeal 1/4 tsp brown sugar banana, organic orange Lunch, bowl of chili with hamburger kidney beans generic tomato soup. A peanut butter sandwich n iced Sun tea. Supper, since most hard work is done Popcorn light tastes good nonfattening cheap.
