Pay your employees from when they leave they’re house to when they get home. Take care of them and they will take care of you. Try to pinch and scrimp there hours don’t be surprised if they try pinch and scrimp on the quality of work they preform

We pay when your on site working unless there driving company equipment trucks etc. if it’s a super far away job that’s out of the Normal well give them rides there from the shop. Pretty hard to pay when they leave if there driving their own vehicles because then they stop for gas or go through the drive through and gotta wash their car all on your dime

Well done Carson. I'm on the opposite end of your business. I started snow plowing my own properties because of the downside of hiring contractors. Like anything I do, I researched snow plowing carefully and seem to know more about it than a lot of people who are starting out in the business. It's not something that I want to do, but the cost and poor service requires me to take care of my commercial tenants myself. Believe me, it's not fun to have a seasonal removal contract during seasons with little snow. Paying for a service you don't need is pretty painful! Then during seasons with higher than normal snowfall you get penalized with poor service because the contractor gets overwhelmed. It's a lose/lose scenario for the property owners. Maybe I should post some suggestions for those starting out, so they don't alienate their customers...lol

Thanks, hard to give a certain way either way. You have to understand your costs and know what it take s you to do it.

I have no desire or benifit to talking to my competition at trade shows or at all for that matter. Your on point on how to mix seasonal and per push snow accounts. I have a friend that bought 2 Boss plows 2 trucks and a tornado salter that has completely lost his ass by only doing per push this winter. Big big loss so far.

Yep got to diversify in anything you do (to an extent) want to be covered on all sides. And that’s good more work for me then!

Great tips I would love to try and convince my dad to pay me $85 to $95 for snow plowing with my own truck on his accounts LOL I get paid a certain percentage of each driveway which would still be short of an hourly wage like that

I have tons more tips about snow but im not sharing my secrets with the world. Everbody wants to be a youtube star. I say do it as a actor or comedian. Dont try to get famous giving hard earned secrets to success away just to get 1k views. Big woop
@CarsonSchifsky6 жыл бұрын
Perfect thanks I’ll give your secrets away then and get the views and get paid to do so lol it’s not giving away secrets it’s building a network i have a tiny fraction of viewers and subscribers and I’ve already gotten work in my area from it. Hard to be successful when your trying to fight the world
