Big Bear is about 60 miles inland (east) of the greater Los Angeles area, out of reach of these fires

How close are the awful fires in California?

The fires are 60+ miles away from the Big Bear area. At this time, we have not heard of any danger coming in our direction. The winds are expected to pick up today however, there are miles of terrain and altitude before the fires would be of any threat.
