I bought one too. But I’m single and I live in it full time! It’s easy for me to maintain and it’s perfect for me and my dog.

We bought the cruise america 28A and did a lot of the same things! Also did a little paint, self stick wallpaper, added some new blinds, awning, etc. For a backsplash, they have epoxy self stick that is lightweight and looks just like stone!

We purchased a RV from El Monte RV/Road Bear in January 2020. It only had about 38k miles on it and we got it for a good price. The only issues we have had have been the two inside rear tires. Everything else has been working great. We are nearing the end of an eight state road trip and no problems. Happy camping everyone. 🎉🌻⛺️🛣👽

My “retired rental” was purchased from a company in Anchorage, Alaska rather than CruiseAmerica, but I give an enthusiastic thumbs-up to buying a newer model rental unit. You can be pretty sure all the “new RV” issues are long ago ironed out, regular maintenance is a given (with the better rental companies, at least), and I truly believe these rigs - purchased straight from the factory specifically for the rental fleet - are beefed up in steering and suspension for those first-time RV drivers. I bought my 2016 Winnebago Minnie Winnie 27Q in the fall of 2017, with 40K miles on it. Four years later, it’s been nearly trouble-free and I still love it. Btw, I want one of those t-shirts! My rig’s name is “Roada”; short for Roadrunner! We’re on the road a lot, so the name seemed appropriate. 😉

We purchased a unit this earlier this summer , everything went flawlessly ! Cruise America is a great company to work with and the unit is everything we wanted . We had an awning installed by Cruise America at time of purchase , they had installed a brand new tow package ( I guess that is part of the redo when they sell ) and when we went to Florida they paid for the flights and picked us up at the airport . Totally seamless , we were on the road in an hour or so and couldn't be happier

That's good to know that they will install an awning! That's been my main concern about buying a refurbed unit and having to get that done afterward.

My spouse and I flew from Houston, Texas to Denver, Co. and purchased our 28A for the absolute best price!! We are in love with it and recommend anyone looking for a deal to go to Cruise America. You will not be disappointed. We put over 1500 miles on our first trip back home. Upgrades are in the works.

That’s a great interview thanks for sharing, The full time RVing subject comes up a lot in these videos, although I genuinely respect those that are full timer RVers although it’s definitely not for everyone, we enjoy planning and going on our RV trips every year we also enjoy arriving back to our home base to recharge our batteries so to speak and enjoy spending time at the house, we live right outside of a large city that has more golf courses, musical venues, museums etc, etc than most of the places we travel to, so needless to say we love our RV trips and to visit other destinations but it’s okay to not have the desire to full time RV

Cannot imagine buying a rental rv. Rental cars are treated bad enough & cars are built much better than RV's. Hope they got a super good deal! This was very interesting video. Thanks!

I bought a rental Winnebago motorhome through an RV dealer it had 42k miles and it was in excellent condition. We sold it after 10 months of use to buy a bigger unit. RV's are not treated like some people treat rental cars, so it's pretty much a safe purchase.
@ReadySetAutismFamily3 жыл бұрын
@@agm6095 I don't have a lot of faith in people to take care of things like it's their own. I hear people all the time says "it's just a rental" as they are about to do something really foolish. If you say they do then I'm a little bit restored! I know a lot of people who never have used an RV rent them and I thought that could be scary. I guess getting one so new with low miles like you did might be a safe bet.

115,000 miles is a lot. Most of these are sold before they reach 40,000. Nothing wrong with that as long as the price was right and the after-purchase support is there, and it seems like it has been for them. Congrats!

We didn't ask actually. The current prices have gotten a bit high - in 2019 they were starting around 30k and when I looked this afternoon they're up to $45k. Since they bought almost a year ago I imagine it was down in the 30's.

That's kinda like saying well the real estate taxes are almost the same so you might as well buy a million dollar house instead of a $250,000 house. A $40,000 class C and a $40,000 class A are worlds apart and not just that the class A would have to be two decades older or more to be $40,000. Not to mention many people want a smaller rig.
