THANK YOU! It's such a shock for every teacher when they enter the field just HOW MUCH we all do on the day-to-day. I might only be 23 years old but I feel like a mom to many of my middle schoolers. They see me more than their own families! This year is just an added challenge with hybrid and distance learning. It’s like TWO JOBS in one! I just posted a video entitled #FirstYearTeacherAdvice. I learned so much in my first year teaching ESL Middle School Social Studies. Your video just proves how much TEACHERS ROCK!

I‘m trying to see this as a chance for me to grow more professionally and when I have my own class I know I can include all my great ideas! Hanging in there. And thanks for this! Love from Germany

Hi Mrs Brittany, I'm so happy to see your pretty face again in a video and thanks for sharing how you plan lessons. I really like your glasses and they look so professional on you 👍. I have some face masks tips to share. Tips for wearing mask when facing anxiety 1. Find a mask that you want to touch and hold while doing something you enjoy such as watching TV. 2. Put the mask on while you are at home or somewhere you feel safe. 3. Wear the mask around the house. 4. Wear the mask outside the house. Tips for feeling anxious when wearing a mask. 1. Remind yourself the mask isn't dangerous. 2. Remind yourself you can take it off whenever you want if necessary. 3. Slow your breathing. 4. Practice wearing a mask at home where you feel safer. 5. Find a mask that works for you. Additional tips. Breathe from the nose instead of the mouth. Focus less on the mask to reduce anxiety. Put essential oils inside your mask to keep it odor free and help you feel more relaxed. How to prevent foggy glasses while wearing a mask 1 Use good anti-fog product. 2 Place glasses on top of the mask. 3 Fit the mask properly to your face. 4 Use medical tape to create a seal. 5 Absorb the moisture by putting some tissue inside your mask.

Ms. Brittany, I wish there was a writing focused class in middle school. I love writing stories with colorful descriptions. You are teaching narrative writing and descriptive writing to your seventh grade English class this semester. I love how you design lessons and assignments that are creative. I use my vivid imagination wherever I can. A beautiful story is one with well developed characters, a plot following story structure, and descriptions that makes the story captivating for it to come to life. Poetry is a wonderful way to teach your students to use sensory details in their writing. I am currently working on a few writing projects alongside my schoolwork and I hope to teach a creative writing workshop in the next few years. I love you

This is what I needed! I’m a first year, 2nd grade ESOL teacher (just graduated in December) and I’m still trying to figure out how to get my kiddos excited for learning. Although you teach an age group that’s very different from mine, you inspired me to think of ways to make ME feel more excited to teach!
