At the start of the traffic stop, you're supposed to call it in via radio - including your postal code, direction of travel, road name, and any landmarks if necessary. You didn’t even do that, and considering it was just you two there, it wasn’t realistic at all. Skipping basic procedures like that would’ve caused major problems in a real-life situation. You had two tasers: yet you acted like you didn’t know what you were carrying. It’s basic protocol to be aware of your gear. If you can’t handle your own equipment, it’s a sign you’re not ready for LEO duties. You never identified yourself when making contact at the traffic stop: This is one of the most fundamental parts of a stop. You didn’t introduce yourself or explain why you pulled the driver over. In real life, that kind of unprofessionalism could result in complaints or legal trouble. You somehow changed your plate carrier while driving: Why? You were already wearing a vest, even if it was barely bulletproof. There’s no reason you should’ve been able to swap to a plate carrier in the middle of a chase. That’s unrealistic, and in a real-life situation, you wouldn’t have the time or necessity to make that kind of switch. Your driving was horrible: You were crashing into everything. If this were real life, your vehicle would’ve been totaled before you even caught up to the suspect. Being able to drive properly is essential, and you were far from it. Learn to handle your car before you even think about pursuing anyone. Your radio communication was a mess: You constantly said "uhm" and "uh" like you were unsure of what to say. In real life, that lack of clarity could lead to confusion or even danger for other officers. You need to think ahead and make your radio transmissions clear and concise. During the pursuit, your radio comms completely fell apart: and your aim was just as bad. You opened fire on a motorcyclist in the middle of traffic with other cars nearby. In real life, you would’ve been sued for reckless discharge and endangering civilians. You can’t just shoot because you feel like it-especially when you’ve got innocent drivers around. You should’ve terminated the pursuit: Given the reckless driving, constant crashes, dangerous traffic conditions, and the fact your patrol vehicle was nearly destroyed, continuing the pursuit was way too dangerous. In real life, you would’ve been required to terminate it for public safety. If you had kept going, you’d be facing a suspension, a strike, or termination. Ignoring safety isn’t an option, you're supposed to Serve and Protect. The sentence the suspect received was HEAVILY unrealistic: 5-10 years? That doesn’t make sense at all. Based on the events, he’d be facing much more severe charges in real life: murder, hit-and-run causing injury, reckless endangerment, felony evasion, felony speeds, and more. He wouldn’t just get a light sentence like that. The charges would stack up, and he’d be facing much longer prison time, potentially even life. I don't wanna be such a rude person but stop including "realistic" into titles if you don't know how to even be realistic, not to mention how to be a law enforcement officer. Improve yourself, this is just my constructive criticism on this video.
