It's not generous, it's fucking stupid. He's not even mentioning the biggest bust from that draft, Justin Gilbert? Manziel was taken with the 22nd pick, whereas Gilbert was taken with the 8th pick. Also, most Cleveland fans did not like the Manziel pick and had no expectations for him, so while he is a scrub and a bust, calling him the biggest Browns bust of the decade is simply factually incorrect

Paxton Lynch wasn't even the backup in Pittsburgh. They signed him as a depth option when Ben Roethlisberger went down for season ending elbow surgery in 2019 and never saw the field even with the other options being Mason Rudolph and Devlin "Duck" Hodges. I'm pretty sure the only game Lynch was actually active for was the week 17 game against Baltimore's backups where they got smashed 28-10 by RG3 and Trace McSorley because Rudolph got hurt the week before against the Jets and Hodges couldn't move the offense enough to give the defense a break and they still didn't see any reason to even give Lynch a chance. I used to think it was funny that year that after Ben got hurt and they signed Lynch, their quarterback room consisted of a 3rd rounder, an undrafted DII rookie, and a 1st rounder but the 1st rounder was the least likely one to actually see the field

Brady Aiken was taken 1st overall by the Astros in 2014, but they didn't sign him because he had elbow problems. Despite this, Cleveland took him 17th overall in the 2015 draft and he never played in the majors because of his injuries (Walker Buehler was taken 7 picks later). I don't know if Aiken counts as a bust because he was injured, but it would have been a great opportunity to dunk on Houston and Cleveland

The thing about the "misses" is that they wouldn't be misses if the teams that drafted them knew how to build around them. So many players have shit careers because the teams don't build around them.
