@@scottrohrbeck7672 . 3-2 series lead is not that much of a lead. Reverse sweep is the worst choke job a team could do, especially if it's the best of 7 series type. You're up 3-0, how tf do you lose the next 4 in a row?!?

@@rebecca4680 There are different kinds of chokes. Some are "had a big lead and blew it" chokes and others are "needed one more play and blew it" chokes. The Rangers were one strike away from a championship, twice. That is like needing to hit one free throw in basketball for a championship or gain one yard in football for a championship. I'm not sure if any team in any sport will ever be as close to a championship and not close the deal as the 2011 Rangers were, twice.

I know you guys could care less about soccer.. but take the time to appreciate just how big of a choke job it is to finish 5th out of 6 teams in concacaf with European stars.. behind jungle farmers playing part time soccer in obscure lower leagues.. hell, for all their failures at the end all they needed was a tie against a Trinidad and Tobago C team... This is equivalent to prime Golden State Warriors repeatedly failing against the likes of the bad Bobcat, 76er, Net teams.. and STILL be handed a chance to make the playoffs by just tying Villanova... and that's being generous.. they lost to a group of kids that plied their trade at third tier clubs like the Jacksonville Armada, Louisville City FC.. I mean teams that would get smacked by even the worst MLS sides. That was unprecedented.. it will never happen again.. 28-3 happened twice in the space of a week.. should be the biggest choke ever.. but since this is an American channel, respectable at #2. No way Texas' choke comes anywhere close.

The best part of this video is FivePoints saying "This will probably be the only time a 16 seed beats a 1 seed" while watching this video in 2023, where #1 Purdue lost to #16 Fairleigh Dickinson. Lol

Not on the list: Denny Hamlin's 2019 Championship Season (NASCAR Cup Series) Reason: the pit crew misplaced some grille tape and it caused the engine to overheat in the final race, ruining his best season on record and his best shot at the championship in a decade

Or Truex that year. Or Mark Martin in his whole career. (Not exactly that he choked, but Nascar made him choke endlessly)

We don’t have any words and we know you don’t want to hear them. We understand your anger, your frustration, your sadness. Everything you’re feeling - we get it. This isn’t the ending we imagined, and certainly not the one we wanted. Thank you for being there the entire way.

In the Chiefs Colts game he failed to mention Jamaal Charles got hurt and left the game in the Chiefs offense didn't know what to do after that they struggled and could hardly move the ball. That led in large part to the Chiefs losing.

Bengals fan here. Yep still broken by that game. We all pretty much knew it would fall apart after that season cause there were just too many players going into free agency that Mike Brown was not going to pay.

Another honorable mention of the decade could be 2010 NHL Playoffs where the Boston Bruins blew a 3-0 series lead against the Philadelphia Flyers. In game 7 the Bruins were up 3-0 in the game only to lose 4-3.

I mean some starters or very important rotation players did get injured and had to play not close to 100% like the unanimous mvp himself or didnt play at all at some point, it was a huge choke job but not the top one, some teams just choked without any help

Oregon losing to TCU in 3-OT in the 2016 Alamo Bowl after being up 31-0 at halftime. Oregon didn't score again until overtime. TCU was also using their second string QB Bram Kohlhausen after Trevone Boykin was arrested in San Antonio and suspended from the team two days prior.

As a Rangers fan, the way you broke down Tampa's choke made me sad. 2014 was supposed to be our year, but they just had to blow leads in all of the games they played in LA :-/

True. In the Finals, in 3 of the 4 games they lost, the Rangers had a lead for good stretches.

As another (dis)honorable mention, I would like to add the entire state of Wisconsin since Super Bowl XLV in 2011: -Packers going 15-1 in 2011, only to get blown out by the Wild Card Giants in the divisional round. -Brewers making it to the NLCS in 2011 for the first time moving to the NL, only to choke against the Wild Card Cardinals. -The Packers’ last minute meltdown at the 2014 NFC Championship Game against the Seahawks. -Badgers having their first undefeated season for the first time in 2017 with a shot at the College Football Playoffs, only to choke against Ohio State in the Big Ten Championship game. -Brewers making the NLCS again in 2018, only to choke against the Dodgers. -Bucks making the Eastern Conference Finals in 2019 for the first time since 2001, only to blow a 2-0 lead against the Raptors. -Brewers blowing a 3-1 lead against the Nationals in the 2019 NL Wild Card game.
