Perfect placement for the rainbow lorikeet! Can confirm. Mine loves to wrestle with toys and hands, dangles upside-down, climbs even on smooth surfaces, flies as loud as an attack helicopter, lands like a brick, tests his singing voice, steals food from another bird, gives me kisses and rides on the shoulder. I'm so lucky to have him despite all the messes and special food.
@dummy20273 ай бұрын
You mention loud flying well mine has learned, from talking to outside fantails (silent fliers), how to fly silently. I will find him in places he can only get to by flying, without having heard his wings at all. And will land silently too. He chooses when he wants to fly loud and when he wants to fly silent. So very intelligent.

@@beautybachelor hello! I’ve had my quaker parrot for about six months now. Oh my gosh I love Quakers so much! They have such big personalities. They’re very intelligent and geood at tricks. There are lots of fun. But, like any animal, they are definitely not perfect. They can become quite territorial over pretty much anything. They can go from being the sweetest bird one minute to a crazy bird with an attitude who is hissing at you if you try to touch its toy for example. They aren’t one of the easiest bird IMO. They need a lot of toys and foraging and such. They are also known for getting fatty liver disease so you have to be very careful with her diet.They are very sweet and fun, but don’t be surprised when their sassy side shines through. LOL.🦜

The good thing about banning certain exotic animals is that it helps stop overbreeding, bad husbandry, and illegal bird importing. Sadly a lot of birds are kidnapped from the wild and sold as pets. These laws help protect the birdos.

Our zoo (the OKC zoo) has a lot of rainbow lorikeets in an outdoor enclosure. You can go inside and feed them nectar, hold them, and pet them. I have neon green hair so birds always love me, every time I go I am covered in birds. Luckily I have not been pooped on yet, but my dad has.. He was once pooped on and it went under his shirt and down his back. I love the lorikeets but they are always screaming and flying around. They are a bit too much for me, I don't think my autism could handle it.
