We have a female Caique too! She also has a sister but a different species (conure) and we are concerned about keeping hormones in check to control any egg laying as they grow up. Our Caique is an "teen-ager" (3 and a half years old) and her sister is a baby or maybe you could consider her a "toddler". Our Caique gets up around 8:00 a.m. and goes to bed around 8:00 p.m. like clockwork. At night she jumps in her cage and gets on her "bed" perch and calls for us to come and "tuck her in". It's adorable! Thanks for sharing the video!

The parrots who have the biggest impacts from these are eclectus as the dyes can cause toe tapping due to their unique digestive systems. I’m not super familiar with other breeds. The pellets are fruit pellets, with artificial dyes, and the seeds aren't sprouted and what is in the seed mix? Also, maybe their dinner should have more vegetables and less sweet things, like a vegetable chop. Wow, you are very lucky! I’m on caique forum and majority agree they are loud.

Consider YOUR age before getting one. It might outlive you. Make arrangements for that possibility.

? Why do have these birds? Wow, Seems like they are your children, not pets. Having pets is purely a selfish human thing we do for fun and entertainment, unless they serve purpose like hunting dogs or something.. These animals are meant to be in the wild aren’t they? Seems like you are craving motherhood. You would probably make a very good mother. Raising children can make the world a better place with good parenting.

Thank you, I am a mother, I believe a very good one. I know your heart it is in the right place when making this comment and you meant well. I feel it should be somewhat focused on people who neglect/abuse their pets as there are many out there in this world and not on someone who is looking after their pets well. Owning a pet is 100% a privilege not a right. There are many great causes to protect animals to great behind, that I feel you will be great in. And in fact to protect children as well. Remember to always be kind x
