thanks for the vid. i think this is my best option since my unit wont connect to my S9 via usb. i tried the firmware update and follwed all directions exactly (fat32, only file, etc) still get an error. my only reason for wanting the usb is for bi directional control for navigation through the appradiolive app. amazon is out of the Beklkin, i have an extra chromcast, do think that might work?

I have my isimple media linx hooked up right and my Belkin Dongle connected, my phone is casting on my pioneer avh x2800bs the only problem I'm having is my subwoofers but out... I get no sound from them.. when I select the Bluetooth settings I get sound but when I change it to the av settings nothing... Do you have any idea what the problem is?? Is it best to hook up the Belkin Miracast directly on the back of the unit or would it be best to run a HDMI/USB cable form the back of the unit to lets say inside the center console and then hooking up the Miracast? Im wondering just incase you want use USB 1 for iphone.

I have Fosgate amps (2) running my JBL components and another running my JBL subs. While in screen mirroring mode the sound is only coming out through the components. Any Idea of what is happening?

I have the iSimple media links and Belkin Miracast connected to a Avh-x5800bhs. I can only get sound out of my component speakers, not the subs. Also, I am unable to get the video to show on my headrest monitors. I have separate amps for my subs and components, does that have anything to do with it? And instead of commenting on the other video, I'm going to ask my other question here. I'm aware of how to have the settings, Smartphone/USB, to get videos off of a USB flash drive, but I still can not get any videos to play. I have tried multiple formats of Div-X. I had one start for a brief second, and everytime it froze at the same spot at the very beginning. I retried that format again and nothing. I have tried multiple flash drives, multiple brands, multiple sizes. I have tried it with an unformatted USB and a formatted. It reads the flash drive and the names and titles but all I can get it to say is, "Unplayable File".

Most of the time it is the network your phone is on. Try taking it in the house and trying it with your phone on WiFi and see if it get better. That way you will know if it is the network or the device.

I have the Pioneer AVH-4100NEX. I hooked up the Belkin Miracast and it is being powered by USB1 since I have my Android Samsung Note 8 hooked to USB2 for Andorid Auto. When I go to Miracast the deck's safety feature wont let it mirror my phone unless the parking brake is engaged. How do I bypass this feature? Or what am I doing wrong?

jarodYank because the 20 dollar version is a relay, which you can make for cheap yourself. This is used because simply grounding the parking brake wire won't work. The head unit needs to see power before park brake grounded. The relay creates the delay when turning on your key.

In the end they will both get you to the same place. The main difference is needing some sort of a hotspot for the Cromecast and not for MiraCast. That part is up to you.

hey......so I tried my settings, used a different app, even updated firmware on 4800 and the miracast adapter. No luck on sound quality. Even if I turn up the source level adjuster,,,,,no bass and sound is lower than the radio. I'm using a Sony Xperia Z5.

Great Video guys. can I buy a chrome cast MiraCast Dongle and plug it into my HDMI port on my Pioneer SPH-DA210 App Radio instead, and utilize the USB to power the Dongle also? I like that design, as I won't have much space behind my radio, and The HDMI is my input port, rather than the Aux port or RCA's that you showed....Secondly, while I have the unit pulled out, do you have a hands free microphone that you can recommend that will reduce my road noise?...Maybe a parrot dual mic?

Unfortunately every screen we view these days are high definition and the radios are not. The screens are only 800x480. So yes they do not look all that great.

Yeah, I tried that too. It's definitely better but still not crispy. If what you're suggesting is that clarity depends on the monitor, then there's still something wrong bcuz picture quality of same movie drops from playing off a usb to miracast. Not as grainy but can see some sort of pixelation that makes the picture look like a cheap copy. Do you think the ver 2 (new one) is any better? i really love the functionality esp on this soon to explode note 7. it plays movies and automatically blacks out the screen on phone, or you can just open up any other app and use phone at same time. i was reading reviews on Amazon and a reviewer swore by the Ruko stick as it works a lot better and is cheaper. Any experience with those?

Run a ground cable and your e-brake cable and put them on a switch. When you're in motion flip the switch and you'll have image. You'll have to switch on everytime you want to watch but small price considering you shouldn't be watching while your drive.

You can use a Cromecast but you will need to turn your phone it a Wifi hotspot. The MiraCast has wifi built into it, that is why they are more. Yes you will have to do the bypass.

NIKHIL SAWLANI Samsung stopped using MHL cable outputs. This is the type of connection needed to do AppRadio. I don't now about there but here Pioneer does not have Miracast dongle that allows this to function.
