Fix a Blue Flat Screen TV Cheap

If your 4K flat screen TV is looking purple or blue after a while, it most likely just needs the backlight replaced. The backlight is made up of LED strips that you can order online for cheap.

I've got to do this on my 5yr old 65" Philip's PFH5250/96 as the LEDs have gone dim on 1 side :) not looking forward to this to be honest. Nobody seems to have taken this model apart on YT :(

Thanks dude! My father in law’s tv started doing this a year or 2 ago. So he swapped its room with the old 1080p. Samsung back in the living room again, and blue 4K Vizio in the bedroom.. I wondered.. has someone made this an easy fix? Do I even have to solder anything? Then you made it look easier than I was preparing for.

If the blue tint is only slight, check under your advanced picture settings and make sure the colour temperature is not set to 'cool', try 'standard' instead.
