You sir are an absolute LIFE SAVER!!! Full-time seasonal van dweller, pump stopped working today. Troubleshooting didnt lead to any success, ordered new pump, brain couldnt stop wondering what the problem was. Found your video, used some pillars to tap on my pump while in prime mode, BACK TO REGULAR SCHEDULED PROGRAMMING, still winter in Alberta for another month so this heater is much needed. THANK YOU A TON, GOD BLESS YOUR HEART 🙌🖤

Thank you ! This exact thing fixed my brand new heater ! The pump was making the noise, but not pumping enough. Likaci diesel heater (same as vevor), so, while waiting for the replacement pump, I pulled, and did exactly as you did, felt the inside thingy unlock, and boom, working as it should !! So thanks again !

I smashed mine on wood... No luck. Then poked it a bunch with a needle... Which sort of worked. Then I have it a few hits with a pair of vice grips and it is working again! Moral of my story is... Be persistent. Thanks everyone!!

And while you depress the plunger spray in lots of WD 40 to flush it out from both ends and you will be amazed at the muck that comes out.

The Wabasto 2000 diesel heater that I installed in my sailboat years ago suddenly stopped working. Thank goodness I saw your video before other expensive and time-consuming options were pursued. I removed the fuel pump and firmly tapped it repeatedly on a piece of wood that I had brought from home for this purpose. Very small pieces of crud were soon noticed on the wood. I reinstalled the fuel pump, turned on the heater briefly and noticed that its normal clicking sound had returned. Then I went ahead and bled the fuel line, fired up the heater and it roared back to life. Please know that your helpful video is MUCH appreciated.

Thanks Luke!! 😘 Just used my heater last night went to turn it on tonight and E-10 😪. Turns out it was a clogged fp. Had already checked continuity (good), but no clicks with power added...then after many videos came across yours. NO other video mentions this Crucial tip. Read the comments and hit it with a mallet without taking it off the line. I am now basking in heat!! 🥵 We are just finishing a 3 day freeze warning so not a good time for faulty pumps 😒lol Thanks again, may you continue to be blessed. 😊

My heater stopped working. The control panel went off, fan went to full speed. I checked fuel pump and it was indeed stuck and couldn't pulse. I did the hammering on the board and it started working again straight away. Now waiting on a new control panel and motherboard to complete the fix.. Thanks so much for this video.

I had some bad fuel and 2 pumps packed up, locked solid, I tried the board trick with no luck, out of desperation I put them in the air fryer at the lowest setting 80c for 15 mins and they started working. It must have melted some sort of wax or something.

My pump ticks non stop, heater works great so far, it’s just the pump clicks non stop when the power is on. Does this happen to anyone else?
@lukeFugate2 ай бұрын
Yes, that is normal It is a pulse pump that sends a measured squirt of fuel every time it clicks.

@@lukeFugate oh wow, ok - thank you for the reply. I am definitely going to mount underneath my RV In a metal waterproof insulated box with lock. I put the heater under my bed, custom install as there wasn’t much room in the RV to spare. Now I will have to re-route the lines, simple fix. Definitely can’t sleep with it pulsating right under my bed. 🤣🤣

I have two of these all-in-one units. One sucks air into the fuel line. It runs but never gets to full temp. I’ve tightened all the hose clamps, search for fuel leaks. Still tiny air bubbles after the pump going to the burner!
@lukeFugate2 жыл бұрын
There could be a small leak in the fuel filter, or the pump could be defective. Are there bubbles in the working heaters lines? Mine has a few bubbles in the line all the time. Does the control unit show the pulse frequency? On max it should be at least 5hz I think the factory setting is 5.5
@APatchworkCanvas2 жыл бұрын
@@lukeFugate thanks for the reply. I tightened all of the hose clamps because they were loose - last night. The wire plug for the fuel pump doesn’t make good contact. Ran for an hour this morning and it sat at 182c. I noticed the fuel tank was getting collapsed by the fuel pump so I took the fuel lid off and it gasped a bunch of air. Slowly went up to 190c and holding there.
@lukeFugate2 жыл бұрын
@@APatchworkCanvas Ah the fuel cap was clogged. Or did they forget to drill the hole in it? Chinese quality control is a joke.
@APatchworkCanvas2 жыл бұрын
@@lukeFugate no hole in it. But even with the cap off it won’t go over 188-190c. Wondering if maybe running it at lower temp while on the highest setting messed up the burner. Gonna check the fuel pump wiring again.
