Thank you for the video. I have one of these jacks and I had no idea the hydraulic fluid could leak out or needed to be replaced. You taught me something new and I was able to fix mine, take my tire off and patch it up all in less than an hour. I'm glad I checked it before going on a road trip since I tend to carry this jack in my car for emergencies.

Thanks for this. I have the same brand but a different model. On mine, that bar was right on top of the fill port, so filling it was a mess.

This video is not about actually FIXING a jack, just servicing one with a low oil level. There are several more serious issues that will give similar symptoms, and require replacement of worn o-rings or oil seals. There are other videos that can give you step-by-step advice if that's your problem.

Release valve on mine is leaking fluid. Have added stop leak hydraulic jack fluid and bled air out. Jack works fine except fluid leaking from release valve. Don't know if the plug needs replacing or an o ring. Confusing. Have looked at a number of videos and none of them seem to address this specific issue.

I think when they ship these jacks they deliberatly put a minimum amount of oil, so they don't leak when shipped from the factory to the retailer and then to you. Then the oil dries up over a couple of years and then your jack stops working due to lack of oil! I have just filled mine. You can use power steering or automatic transmission fluid if you have any knocking around; don't use brake fluid as that will destroy the o ring seals.

Recommend putting down some sort of cloth (pig mat) down to keep the oil off your floor.

You didn't show me how to fix my jack . I have done all these things to an identical jack that won't lift with no success.

All this "floor jack repair" video showed was how to SERVICE the jack (check the oil level and bleed air bubbles). There was nothing broken on this jack that needed FIXING. If yours has something wrong with an o-ring or a u-cup seal, it needs to be at least partially disassembled and a new part put in. There are several KZbin videos that show this whole process. In most cases, the average person with normal homeowner workshop tools, can do this themselves. Good luck.
