Hi guys...if u have any problem in finding your c drive or if your not sure which is your c drive Use the following command to find it out.. BCDEDIT | Find "osdevice" This command will tell u which is your c drive And to find the volume label just type "Vol c:" (replace c: with the drive letter of the drive for which you want to find volume label)

Does it format the entire c drive in method 1? Do we have to reinstall windows again

@@rushikeshkirtikar6147 in my case it didn't. It also didn't remove Windows. Just make sure you don't format the wrong thing. Pay attention carefully to the video. It wouldn't hurt to make a Windows recovery (repair) USB.

Actually some methods are just not working, the most effective way is to create the bootable disk and repair with Ao mei disk tool.

@f&D, sure hope you never tire of hearing people thank you for this helpful video. Here's what happened, I cloned the primary 1TB M.2 drive to my new 2TB M.2 drive and all was fine, opened up disk manager and made the new drive visible and assigned a new letter to it. Shutdown the computer and it wouldn't boot from either M.2 drive stating the bootmgr is missing. None of the methods I knew about worked so after finding this video and trying the 1st method I'm back in business and typing out this reply. My mistake was most likely leaving both drives connected on 1st boot after shutting down, my PC beeped at me probably confused with identical bootmgr's causing them both to be corrupted...? The least I could do is subscribe and like the video and say thank you a lot lot. :D

Rushikesh Kirtikar all you are doing is formatting a section of the drive that is reserved for certain parts of windows. Formatting this and following the steps correctly will lead to hopefully fixing the error and then not having a problem. Your data will not be changed , formatted, or anything.

Ty soo much the first fix worked for me just now I got a bit confused in the line of code for the bcdboot area I was typing M: before the /f All rather than me typing the assigned letter for my Fat32 but once I figured that out it worked and I reset my pc and it booted.

All these didn't work for me 💔😭 at the end it keeps saying failure when attempting to copy boot files. And now the system reserved label has changed to recovery and it's in FAT32, how can I change it back?I have tried so many methods nothing seems to work. My laptop has been stuck in boot loop for the past week and I really have to use it😭. I tried installing new windows through my USB and it gives me two USB options, one written USB hardr drive UEFI and another one just written USB hard drive. When I choose the one with uefi it takes me to a blue screen then it switches off. The other option takes me to windows setup but it refuses for me to upgrade. Please help please 🙏

Ok first the reason for *failure when attempting to copy boot files* is because *you have typed your c: drive letter wrongly* . Atter you get the error try both of these commands one after the other bcdboot d:\windows /s m: /f all Bcdboot c:\windows /s m: /f all You don't need to change the label anyway

I am unsure which is the efi partition, none of them are 500mb, and none of them stating system rev.

1) Type "DISKPART" and hit enter 2) Type "LIS DISK" and hit enter 3) Now you have to select appropriate disk type "SEL DISK #" (Replace # with the disk number i.e the disk number in which your c: drive is present) 4) Type "LIS PAR" and hit enter 5) Type "SEL PAR 1" and hit enter 6) Type "FORMAT FS=FAT32 QUICK" and hit enter 7) Type "ASSIGN LETTER=M:" and hit enter 8) Type "EXIT" and hit enter 9) Type "NOTEPAD" and hit enter and then go to "FILE", then click on "SAVE AS", and then click on "THIS PC" and find out your C: Drive letter (D: in Most Cases) 10) Type "BCDBOOT (YOUR C: DRIVE LETTER):\WINDOWS /S M: /F ALL" and hit enter 11) Type "EXIT" and hit enter, and then click on "TURN OFF PC" 12) Now turn on your PC, windows should have boot successfully now.
