Fix For No USB Power On Flight Controller

If the flight controller will power with a 5v power source from a Li-Po battery but not the USB, chances are a diode is fried. Here is how to replace a diode.
I cant speak for every flight controller but the diode I used on this one is a BAT54C.

Great video with a thumbs up from me so thanks again for another helpful video. I have 4 naze32 rev6 I kept that stop working. I repair a lot of electronics so i kept them planing to check them out one day and see if they where repairable and checked out on line for maybe what go's bad most on them. Putting these small parts on is not easy without a usb microscope. Just the fact that you found the problem, repaired it is more then most people can do. So thanks again, But I have to wounder why someone gave this video a thumbs down. OOOO!!! they must be perfect.

Hi just started on FPV..I have Eachine X F4 Flight controller and had crash first time and now I don't have power on Flight controller using Lipo only 3 beeps starting beeps on motors and no LED on flight controller but there is power when connected to USB and led is on... what should I do is PDB or Flight controller is broken?

Hi Project Blue Falcon I have a faulty X-Racer F303 V2... searching with a magnifier, i think i have a missing diode. Is there a way i can send you a photo, so you can help me identify the component? Its the one just left of the down left corner of the uart chip (F3), near PWM 4/5

Its the diode on the bottom side of the board underneath the USB. Use a BAT54C diode.

Project Blue Falcon on an Xracer 2.1 I am able to power this via usb and on some (coz on the other pinnage it wont) pins off the motor rail but won't give 5 / 3 volts on uarts? Any suggestions?

I can't get power from the Lipo on my sp f3evo but I get power from usb just fine so no power on the rail with the battery help please

Maybe, because my experience has been the USB dying, but the LiPo side still working. You could have another issue, like a fried SMT chip.
