Thank you very much! I still get the error, but much less ! Actually, i noticed that i didn't updated the OS since 2015, when i bought the phone. The phone actually asked me to install the update several times in a row (maybe 3 or 4 times), so i was a bit confused thinking that it couldn't update well... but in the end it was finally well updated to the latest Android version for my phone, and even if i still get the SIM card error, it's sooo much less than before! When i think that the Customer Service of Samsung directly told me it was the motherboard's problem and i had to change it (half the price of the phone when i bought it) or get a new phone... i'm quite disappointed ! Thanks again, i can still use my phone! :)

IMPORTANT! Please update ALL your apps on your device in the Google Play Store. More than once this "sim card removed" error or "sim card not detected" error was fixed by updating a buggy app. Remember to reboot your phone afterwards.

Everytime my phone is restarted, it has a message no sim card is inserted. If I turn off the phone, take the sim in and out and turn on a few time (wish for luck, of course). Then it would find the sim card and work fine. AT&T did send a message saying that I need a new sim card. This Note 4 is brand new, I only had it for 2 days. The sim works totally fine with my Note 2. Please help. I just want to know if it is the phone's problem so I can return it or I just really do need a new sim card. I tried your technique and it did not work. Thank you so much.

if the phone is 2 days old, and AT&T suggests a new sim, I would try first make sure ALL Google Play updates are complete using the Play store on your device., Then, if it still doesn't work (even after the cache partition is wiped), then I would return the phone for warranty.

i had thos problem with lg g3 and noticed that it only did that when i used a specific battery. (i have 3) i threw that battery away and have been swirching the 2 batteries i have right now and havent had this happen anymore.

+Astro boy if your phone is rebooting, your problem is likely a battery. I've gone through 3 batteries so far on my note 4! I'm actually responding to you right now on it. To rule out the battery, plug your phone into the stock charger that came with your phone. Does your phone immediately stop rebooting? If it does then it's likely the battery. If airplane mode only comes on while playing a game, but does not come in at any other time, I would think there's a driver conflict, or there's a glitch in that game (and your hardware). There may be an update patch on its way if you are 1 of many with the same problem. Check the forums on the game makers website or the faq on the game makers website and post your problem there. That's where I would start.

It did work for my Note 4, but as soon as I connect to wifi or mobile data the same problem occurs. The phone also gets very hot and uses a lot of battery life. Seems the problem started after I installed latest updates for the phone. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Thanks.

+Cassie INKL it sure sounds to me like there is a rogue app running on your phone. The tough part is identifying it. All I can suggest (after the cache partition of your device has been cleared), is to keep visiting your Google Play store on your device and keep checking for updates for your apps. In all likeliness, you won't be alone with this problem.

I have a note 4 and it says no sim card all the time. I can go a few weeks without it doing it. Then it'll start doing it again. Sometimes multiple times a day. Then it might go a few weeks without doing it again. It gets very frustrating.

Thanks for the informative video. I tried it on my Galaxy A5. Everything went as described in your video, but the problem was not solved. As soon as I rebooted the system, I got the message again. I have not updated my Android recently (only the installed apps, not the OS itself). When I boot up in safe mode, it is fine for a few minutes, but then it comes back again.

There is a possibility that your SIM card is defective, or your phone has a connection issue to your SIM card. Have you tried powering off your phone, carefully removing your SIM card, and re inserting the card again?

yep, I installed the latest updates to no avail. I also removed the sim card and the sd card, then carefully replaced the sim card alone. That didn't solve the issue either. I wonder if it could be related to getting hacked?

Thanks for following up on me. I have had it for about a year, and except for dropping it a few times, I am aware of no maltreatment to it. The annoying "sim card removed message" has not appeared in the past half hour, unless I try to make a call, at which point I first get a "not registered on the network". I have heard this could be due to a loosened sim tray. I am gonna have to test my sim on other phones, and test another sim on this phone to figure out what's going on.

+Matej Bukovec the cache partition is a place where the operating system (in this case the Android operating system) TEMPORARILY places pieces of information it uses to perform tasks. The operating system reads and writes to this "cache" which allows the system to operate at a faster, and more efficient pace. The problem is, over time, with updates to software on your device, certain pieces of information stored in that cache partition may become corrupt, outdated, or may lead the operating system to running into error situations. This is why clearing the cache partition once in awhile is good to do to resolve possible conflicts that your phone or device may be experiencing.

+kobehbeef I don't have any newer LGs to try. So I Google searched "wipe cache partition LG Class" and brought up results which are different from what I showed in the video. Unfortunately this method didn't work for my Note 4. I got this phone half a year ago and everything was running fine until I performed an update yesterday. The buildnumber is now: MMB29M.N910FXXS1DPJ3 Since that I get this "sim card error" message every 5 to 10 min and have to restart the phone

None of this worked for me, I believe it is a hardware issue. What I did was remove my SIM card, press down a little on the metal shroud that holds the SIM card in place, and put Scotch tape on top of the SIM card to make it thicker, trim excess, and then reinsert it. I was getting the warning 5 to 10 times a day and now I've been going about a day and a half with no warnings and no errors

As to date, I've updated all my apps before doing this fix, but it still occurred. My next move was to take the sim out and with a pencil eraser I rubbed it over all the contact surface of the sim and put some sticky/cello tape on the back of the sim to just slightly increase the thickness of the sim to add more pressure to the contact pins, and so far so good, no resets......

This just started happening on my Samsung J7. I bought this phone 9 months ago, but just took it out of the box and activated it 8 weeks ago!!! It's a relatively cheap phone as far as cost($120), but I LOVE it!!! Hopefully I can resolve this issue on my own... ??? Has anyone had any luck with this?

I didnt get sim card removed in a long time i think its permanent cuz its by a software update but Some common errors happen on my phone Like Downloading do not turn off target Sometimes it happens Phone switches off unexpectedly I hate it but its just my battery The Phone Freezes And The Audio Sounds Crashed And it crashes Unexpectedly it happens idk how i might search why these things happen and how to fix them But those things happen all the time not just when i update software it happened before and i can live with that i can just restart phone or take out battery and put it again

Please go to the Google Play store on your device (over wifi if possible) and make sure ALL your apps are updated. Please let us know if that fixes your problem...
