Great lesson thanks. Even though we’re all making many of the same mistakes, and it’s not rocket science, we find a way to mess up and creep back to bad habits. Your future is secure. You will never run out of students.

Enjoyed this, amazes me how many times students are facing too far left and don’t turn enough, must have a look at this myself. Many thanks for your videos. You seem to have found your slot by going to USA.

How to rotate the body is so important in the swing. It does't have to be "rocket science" and hopefully our videos showcase that.
@douglasgardner4004Ай бұрын
This is what I've been working on this year. I have a tendency to abbreviate the backswing. Playing partners will say that my swing tempo is too fast on my miss-hits. That's just a symptom. Root is not getting a complete rotation and my compensation is to swing fast/cast/flip as a compensation. Getting it right yields an effortless swing with plenty of power for my game. Would like to see some off-course drills to help. I did note the cross arm drill early in the video and the pause drill. Any others you'd suggest?

I have to say... I've seen a few of these guys videos now and I'm very impressed. They are VERY good at recognizing things that need to be adjusted in a golf swing and then communicating that clearly. Well done!

Thanks. It’s about finding the root cause and going from there. Keeping it simple. You have to know the first domino

@@meandmygolf. I would love to have you evaluate my swing. I have a few different domino's that seem to fall every time I play. :)

Do you have a tip for staying aligned to target better during a round? I have a habit of drifting more closed over time.

Good video, what do you do with the hands in the backswing to stop then going away from the body?
@meandmygolf.Ай бұрын
Focus on the body leading. Keep the hands passive

Seems like her trail leg is locking out at the top of the swing which is severely restricting proper rotation and destroying momentum. Did you notice this?
@Wrx2090Ай бұрын
I have this problem, any feels to fix. Can’t seem to stop it from locking out
@meandmygolf.Ай бұрын
Thanks for the comment. It won't restrict rotation, it actually helps it a little. However, like you say, it's still good to have a little flex in the leg to push from. Our focus is to encourage rotation first. If we felt this could be added after then maybe. If we added this in now it would go against the rotation and have negative effect. Great point though.
@meandmygolf.Ай бұрын
Go super slow so you can feel it.
@God-..Ай бұрын
Do you believe that over rotation is hazardous? You guys obviously corrected her swing and had her hitting better but I think her pelvic/hips aren’t moving right due to this leg lock .
@meandmygolf.Ай бұрын
@@God-.. It depends on the golfer, how they move and what ball flight they want. It's just finding there sweet spot for the person and we are all different. We obviously don't want to go past our range as we start to create movement from other places then.
@oneworld2642Ай бұрын
I think her club is too heavy for her to swing.
@meandmygolf.Ай бұрын
It only looks that way due to the body not supporting the arms. When the body rotation is there, the arms can be much more stable and swing shorter.

When I see players coming over the top, the old joke comes to mind. "Doctor, it hurts when I do this. Then don't do that." If you come over the top, don't do it anymore. The solution is easy if the golfer is willing to put in a little time to do it right. But so many don't. They go to the range and keep pounding balls with the same poor swing, achieving the same poor result. When I was a kid I sliced the ball. I didn't like it. I found out what causes a slice - and stopped. Basic fixes are not that hard. Find out what causes your error/problem and stop doing it.

Wow, so little understanding of the basic principles. Its not a "move" its a biomechanical process linked to an outcome, teaching moves is so easy and useless.
