wow! I was literally mesmerized throughout the whole video.

Thank you for being thorough and informative. I appreciate you and learn better with you as you provide examples of the potential issues that occur when using unreal engine for various game design tasks.

Outstanding video. A really good addition to your RPG course on Udemy, much appreciated.

I am brand new to this, and still had to repeat sections many times. But thank you for going at a decently chill pace. Some of the issue might be getting older, but I'm pretty sure it's mostly that I'm unaccustomed to the style of editing that cuts things to be faster in much of the media from the last ten or so years as I've lived in a cave. I've despaired when I tried to learn Unity and gave up. I'm trying Unreal and am terrified after trying several videos on related topics. Wish me luck. Husbando and I want to finally make games together now. (T-T)

I think I just learned shader programming from this video about removing tiling from landscape materials in UE5.

This is cool, and am thankful for the video! It's just that.. this doesn't really change landscape the farther away you are and still leaves the tiling you mention. I am going to use this for my landscapes so still a good video.

When creating the TexCoord to scale the UV for the Normal at 46:25, shouldn't the values be set to 0.5 to match the scaling of the textures (16:48)? Otherwise the effect of the normal won't be aligned to the texture.
@LeoDegon13 күн бұрын
Hello, great video. Why it is not necessary to scale the normals by the factor of 0.5 for the size rescaling of the texture?

Thank you so much for this video ! My question is how do i reduce the tiled landscape on areas that i used a brush ? because this video explains only about how to change the main texture of the land and not areas that i have used a brush.

Amazing video. This is exactly what I needed.

Thanks for the great tutorial! Why you decided to use only one channel for adding color variation? Wouldn't tinting the entire RGB give a better result, especially when the texture includes different colors, like green grass on brown soil?
@manojkumarvk110 күн бұрын
I think, Instead of one channel, using cheap contrast RGB node, adjust contrast/Saturation may be better to keep the colours intact. By the way it is a great tutorial.,

If you feel lost/confused or want more information on LERP and CLAMP and how it applies on textures. Here is a brilliant explanation: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qnPMk2unht2XZ68

i have issues on the distance fading part. i have a material that, using what i did for the other materials, won't fade with distance. i tried posting on the discord section for the c++ unreal course but nobody answered

Great tutorial, man! But honestly, 55 minutes to create one landscape feels way too long. I tried following along, but it became overly complicated, and I lost the motivation to continue. It’s hard to believe such a powerful program takes this much effort for a single landscape. Surely there must be a method that’s at least three times simpler than this, right?
@DruidMechanicsGameDevelopment26 күн бұрын
This isn't really that complex as far as material graphs go. It just took as long as it did to explain it thoroughly.
