Omg for years I've battled with this and the answer is so obvious 🤦♂️. I'm 100% guilty of doing this in my overheads cuz I unrack from a seated position (home gym). Been lifting like that for 12 years 🤦♂️

But if you're pressing heavy the weight can shift over to your thumb during lifts... Is having the bar on the heel of your palm not okay also? My wrists still pain on the heaviest presses, at least for a couple minus after

The leaning out comes with the right diet in my opinion. The training has only a little effect on that.

Or you could just put the bar in the bottom area of your palm as opposed to the upper portions.

I hurt my left wrist overhead pressing and it's driving me crazy. I haven't been able to workout for 2 weeks now. I tried to push through the pain but last time I tried my wrist was telling me to stop. I overhead press from the floor so it's hard for me to keep my wrist straight getting the bar from the floor to my chest. I don't know what to do.
