microsoft directx10/11/12 are for people who have drivers on their computers (nvidia or AMD graphic cards) and their computer is compatible with using DX 11. If when you go to the main menu in the Sims 4 and at the bottom right of the screen, you'll see the patch update of the game and which version of the game being used i.e (version 1.109.185 DX11). I don't think it would cause issues. It's just the version of the game that you have that is compatible with your computer. I hope I made it clear. I just researched it on my own and I'm going to try it out.

Weirdly enough, it looks like Reshade bugs my game lmao. Prolly bc of all my mods. The Trait hexagons in CAS entirely vanished until I uninstalled it, rip me XD This tutorial is aawesome tho, easy and not rambling for 20 minutes :3

whaatttt?? I have never heard of that happening! I have hella mods and CC too and haven't run into any issues. I'm so sorryyyyy nooooooo And thank you because ya girl can definitely ramble lmfao but I hate that when I'm watching a tutorial or guide video. Don't mind it so much in let's plays or livestreams obviously but not when I'm trying to learnnnn lol

@@UmmmFox Lol, it just seems like ReShade mixed with some other mods I have installed. It's funny to discover new bugs ngl. I'm not too bothered by it tho :3 Yw lmao, I feel that. I can *t a l k* too ehe. *Exactly,* more people need to do that. Like lets not tlak for 20 minutes about nothing before showing step one. Always appreciate someone not doing that when I see it :3

i keep getting a “failed to compile” error for multiple shaders. i literally can’t find anything to fix this. also my reshade looks weird. i have a pretty good and powerful gaming pc

ive had that for years, i have yet to fix it however to remove it on your game you just press windows and come back on your game and it disappears and you can still have your reshade on you just have to do that everytime you load a new game

Also experiencing the same issue right now. multiple shaders that failed to compile. All the presets i’ve tried out look different from the previews. And i don’t think it’s my laptop either since i have gaming one. Have you figured it out?

omg i keep getting an error message with my reshade :(( it says "unable to save configuration and/or preset" how do i fix that?

This just happened to me after I moved my game to an internal SSD drive. You need to go into your game folder (usually in Program Files/EA Games/The Sims 4/Game/Bin" and you should see some files titled ReShade, and a folder called reshade-shaders. Delete all of those files and the folder, uninstall ReShader, then reinstall. Basically making a fresh install :)

I did everything correctly and mines also didn’t show up when I logged in. I pushed the home button and it’s still not showing up for me, does anyone know how to fix it? It’s started doing this after the update

look in your game options in graphics, and there should be a directx 9 option! if it’s unchecked then that’s probably the problem. lol i was struggling too

I did everything correctky nd everything seemed to be working perfectly untill i did the last step getting the shader in game and then the game freezes completly and crashes... How can i fix this? is anyone else facing this problem?

yes it is but you might need to use direct 11 for it to work i tried to use reshade in my cracked game and it hasnt worked yet but on a reddit post it had a bunch of tips on how to get it to work so i am trying them all now

Hi! I do have one question with the 'home' button to access the shader menu. The 'home' button on my laptop is the left arrow key and not a separate button. I've tried everything I could think of and I still can't access the shader menu in my game. So if you know how I can access the menu using a different button or how to access the 'home' key please let me know. EDIT: Nvm I found out how to fix my "problem". Btw great tut

@@UmmmFox I used the Fn key and the 'home' key to fix it but my laptop is to low-end to run shaders anyways

Hi! Personally, I've never had any problems using shaders made in a previous version Reshade with the latest version. From the two minutes of research (googling) I did for your specific question, it looks like most shaders that were compatible with 3.0.8 and up are still good with Reshade 6.2. I thinkkkkk they added a feature when you update your Reshade to the latest version it keeps your already installed shaders too!

Twinkletoes is a lighting mod, right? Lighting mods don't conflict with shaders, I use several of both myself with no issues 🙏
