FIXING A FEW THINGS ON THE FREIGHTLINER CLASSIC / LOOKING AT A 2020 VOLVO VNL 860 / VLOG #1

I Figured I would do a Vlog style video this time around. I fix some small things and then go to the shop and actually figure out my knocking situation. Tomorrow I go to my mechanics and figure out my oil leak issue so let’s see if we can figure it out! Swedish trucker here. Don't change to Volvo, only good thing about them is that they run very very smoothly! If my boss told me that they're changing my Scania R520 for a Volvo I'd quit within 10 seconds, no doubt about it 😂

The comfort and ride of the Volvo is incredible. The telescopic steering wheel and the adjustable seat is amazing. I have a 2020 Cascadia with an automatic (computer air controlled) 12 speed transmission and I didn't like it at first but now I love it. Believe me 32 years of shifting and then you get that computer controlled transmission and its amazing.

If your going to go the new truck route or used definitely go with a paccar truck (kenworth and peterbilt) they are reliable, comfortable and their service is awesome they can have you in and out of the shop quick

Personally I'd keep the Freightliner and fix the flaws. The Freightliner has a bunch of cool aftermarket mods. I've been hearing that Volvo had electronic issues and new emissions control engines won't last.

They also have the cummins X15 engines from 400 to 565hp. The volvo engines has 3 versions D13TC(375 to 500hp), D13(375 to 500hp and D11(325 to 425hp)

I would say don’t replace the shifter top with crome I don’t think it would look right, besides the shifters looks good already. And you also said you like the grip of the current top, yeah I would say that it would be a bad thing if your hand slipped off the shifter in the middle of shifting gears 😂😂. So keep the current top 👍🏻

I like to call Volvo's and new freighter trucks "throwaway trucks" because they lose their value so quick because they are so common. Not only that they have problems the 2016-18 freighter cascadias have electrical issues and the new automatic Volvo's have crappy transmissions from what I've heard from people that work at the truck dealers
