Fixing a Logitech F310 controller

I had a lil' bit of a problem with my F310, so I fixed it...
And it worked well!

I would like to reiterate that this video is just a random video on KZbin. If you fuck up, it is not my problem. The problem with this fix is that it may lift the PCB traces and is very temporary. The best thing would have been to resolder the buttons and put lots of hot glue around to stabilise them.

@@GegoXaren you're right. Already had to do it a second time so with this design it will keep coming back. Still a good temporary fix as to not have to put it in recycling. When it gets really bad I'll probably fool around more before eventually getting another controller.

I have a problem with my rubber a button on the bottom broke off I need the hole rubber button d pad thing on the bottom where the y,b,x & a hit the board when you press it where can I get that I looked at the site & I seen they have no parts lucky I have a new one unused so where do you buy that part at eh ?

I had the exact same problem. Overall, I do like this controller very much so I was glad to be able to fix it. Though, I dare say I think this is a kind of problem that is likely to reoccur. But for now it works again so great. But I have to say, I was dumb enough to order a dualshock 4 controller online before seeing this video.

The best fix would be to resolder the buttons and putting hot glue around to stabelise them. This method may lift traces and is not ideal in the long run.

Is there any way to fix LT & RT triggers on f310 ? My LT seems like it stucks or something like that when i play games,i must wigle left-right to back in good position so there is no double conntact o something like that. :( I was openig conttroler but those trigers is hard open and see what is problem :(

Originally I was literally gonna throw the controller away and get a new one it away because LB doing the exact thing everyone else is experiencing after the drop (i suspect a manufacturer defect). I also found another tutorial showing the reinforcement procedures-again same LB button ...hmm Logitech ! 🤪

hey so i have one of these my cord was messed up so i had to splice and reconnect it. works fine now other than my d pad is wonky. when i use the dpad its not registering my inputs. sometime i have to give it excessive force when i try to use it. any suggestions on what i can do to fix this issue would be greatly appreciated

As I've said in other common threads, this is at most a temporary fix. At worst it may damage the PCB and lift traces. The best would have been to re-solder the button and use hot glue to stabelise them. The buttons on this L1 and R1 buttons do not have enough support on these controllers.

My "A" and "X" buttons sometimes gets stuck in side and they feel sticky when pressing them. Also some directions of a Dpad don't work properly and has to be pressed with a bit more force. Can it be fixed?

Seems to have worked my controller never fell on the ground, it was just clunky, but while trying this I found out two things, even when pressing the black trigger directly the controller is just overall kinda bad at registering 'light' clicks, if you press it 'hard' and overtime keep it pressed 'lightly' it will eventually not register while still pressing it. I tried forcing the whole trigger thing forward and bending the metal surrounding a bit backwards, and it seems to work better/more frequently now, but I'd advice people buying a more recent controller maybe do a research and check if the buttons are 'analogic' and not 'click' type , because things like this can get on your nerves specially if the button in question is one that you have to keep held for a while, it will eventually un-trigger if you go 'lightly' on the button because it registers a 'unclick' and needs a 'reclick', while 'analogic' it registers as soon as there is the slightest touch and only un-registers when there's no force at all on the button. PS: Those fucking screws are insanely tight, I had callus on my fingers and it took like 45 minutes to un-screw all 7 of them, the last one took like 30 minutes alone. If you do this, keep in mind you might have to fix it again at some point, so screw it tight enough for it to be unscrew-able if you have to do it again.

Oh by the way, nice vid. Also, I had a similar problem with my F310 controller. The right analog stick was sticky, and after a year of not using it , the controls were stuck on the stick. (In detail, it was sending an input of "UP & RIGHT" constantly). I did something very similar with you, i opened it, and it was fixed. I guess it was mechanically stuck in place or some dirt/dust was pressing the input. So my guess is that F310 is simply not that reliable when it comes to versatility. Pity , since the cost is ... around 50 euros if i remember correctly? Not that low of a price.

I've opened this shitty joystick to try and fix the Left stick because L3 doesn't work and when i aim up it barely works, but i couldn't fix it because it was inside. The new problem is that the "back" and "start" buttons are now stuck, i tried placing them in their exact location but it didn't work, i closed the joystick and when i push them they get stuck and then i can't press them at all. Any idea on how to place them and fix it? i've made sure that their 3 pillars were in the correct place.....

There are no cables there, it's the back/start buttons, it's like they don't fit good in there, the LB/RB buttons aren't blocking them. Anyway, thanks!

Goki Tech For a fiver you are not going to get a new one. I would suggest getting a wireless, if possible. A F710 or such... The F310 is one of the cheapest you can get.

I bent the button a little... I would not recommend doing what I did here, and instead resolder the button and applying hot glue to strengthen it. What I did was a temporary fix and does run the risk of lifting the traces. You live as you learn.
