That ecmlink update as stated below is the truth. Has some added features for e85 with the flex fuel sensor

Maybe you saved “activate pump” in link. Glad you figured it out the pump issue. It’s only two wires for the flexfuel sensor and you have the sd harness from link?
@Al3xTalon4 жыл бұрын
I thought of that too but I don’t think so. I’m 95% sure I did it right. I bought their harness and everything. Haven’t figured it out yet.

@@Al3xTalon you can also have ecmlink prime the pump for however many seconds you want it to. Might be worth hooking a laptop up to it to check it.

Interesting! That I didn’t know. Thanks!

Don’t you have ecmlink ? The fuel pump primes for as long as you’d like in the settings in the new firmware mine is set for 1.5 sec
@Al3xTalon4 жыл бұрын
I need to check into that. That’s news to me!

@@Al3xTalon Also check the misc tab to ensure you don't have the pump enable checkbox clicked. Easy enough to do when diagnosing and forget.

I don't know why these cars treat us this way, my Eclipse was at least put away under its own power. I went to pull it out of the garage today and it won't crank 😫

My fuel pump died 25 years ago and when I did it I wasn't gently with the float and that made my gauge be off 1/4 of a tank I took it all apart and I bent the float a crack and it's dead on now and everytime I took it apart after that it's dead on So it's good
@Al3xTalon4 жыл бұрын
Interesting! I might be pulling it out again and may look into that. Thanks!

Oh man, I'm about to pull the trigger on a 1991 Eagle Talon TSI. However, it's not running, and the guy is being shady on what happened to the engine. He wants $3500, which is way too much. I think $800 would be more suitable.
@Al3xTalon4 жыл бұрын
I completely agree. Not running not worth much. Can be very expensive to get running again depending on what’s going on.

Offer him half-price. You just need the chassis anyhow. Do you plan to mod it yourself??

He al3x I was looking into buying a 1g tsi and have two I’m looking at one had a rebuilt engine 20k miles and makes 450hp or there is another fresh built with no miles on it and price for Both are $3k what are your though form being a owner ? Thanks

I would check over both cars good for rust issues. If you can, go see them. A lot of people have sold these cars knowing that they have issues. Also, know that getting into these cars you are going to end up spending a good amount of money on them. Maintenance is key.

Ok I see I was looking at parts and they very good price for most stuff also my other though was Subaru gc8 but the dsm are somthing i have liked for a long time plus they seem like one could work on it

The eclipse is leaking oil all over the place.. Haven't taken the time to figure out why yet.
