Mini skids sadly are so costly because they are more useable for smaller jobs especially residential work they can get places a full size unit has no chance of. My current project is a 80s lahman little dipper mini skid as its only 46 inches wide and i can load it on the flatbed of my truck for residential work. You made me want to find a stump grinder for a future project.

I have a set of older Craftsman snap ring pliers that have been good. I also bought a larger pair of Snap-On pliers for when I need to replace rollers on my skid loader. They work awesome. The kinds with the replaceable tips have never worked for me. Love your videos

Older Craftsman stuff is good when you can find it. I figured Snap-On probably had good some offerings but I am too cheap to pay for that so Harbor Freight it was! Thanks for the comment.

I bought my snap ring pliers at a flea market back in the 90s. I may need a new pair.😊

A mini excavator could probably do this faster and easier than this, but I see why a grinder exists.

Possibly. It depends on what size, what species of stump, and where they're located. I would think grinding them would almost always take less effort but I don't have much experience with digging up stumps so idk.

Your channel is SOOO underrated!!! I feel like you and me are a lot the same, we edit our videos the same and both have trouble finding good snap ring pliers 😂 I really think you should change the thumb nail picture though to get more views on this vid. The image at 4:03 mite make a good thumbnail 🤷

Very nice grinder, and excellent repair - would you say it would be faster with new teeth or is the performance as expected?

Thanks! I would expect it to be slightly faster with brand new teeth. All the ones on there were used when I started.

Interesting channel , always clean the bearings housing before replacing the bearings helps in identifying cracks and it's good mechanical practice Your workshop can do with tidying up looks like a bomb site. Watching from the UK 🇬🇧

What year is your Bobcat 334? Are you happy with it? I just bought a 331 and haven't really used it yet due to it being winter here in NY

That's a 2006. Tbh I haven't really used it yet either due to it needing a bunch of work lol. The five or so minutes I dug with it though it seemed to do well.
