Different belt companies measure their belts differently. Some denote inside radius while others denote outside radius. Two different brand belts with the same designation can be either slightly longer or shorter depending on the belt manufacturers method of measurement. There’s not one standard across all manufacturers. Impressed by your abilities for a young buck. Line boring on your mill was very clever indeed. Keep up the good work.

I think these were both measured the same but I'm not positive. It's working for now I'll try a factory belt next time. Thanks for the comment.

Great job man. My Dad had a bridge port milling machine, it’s amazing how much stuff you can fix with one.

Very good job welding the hole in the block! I definitely don’t trust my welding skills enough to do that 😂

Thanks. Aluminum can be a real pain to weld but that actually went better than I expected.

Great job bringing that machine back to life, most folks would have considered it to be totaled between the engine and the damaged shaft bore. You going to keep both stump grinders?

Nice vid. I believe your excavator could of done a better job and flattened that mound. Hope you make money selling it. Still great skills to bring back to life.😎

So we seen that the rod had fused to the crank. That’s the effect, what caused the failure? How many hours on the engine at the time of failure?
@AlwaysBored123
@AlwaysBored123 3 ай бұрын
I can't say for certain but I'm pretty sure this machine was rolled over based on the high center of gravity and all the broken parts on top of the engine. As far as I can tell it doesn't have a low oil shutoff so I think it was rolled and starved for oil before it could be shut down. It's showing 738 hours on the meter.

It's probably better to wear long sleeves when working with strong acids.
@AlwaysBored123
@AlwaysBored123 3 ай бұрын
That acid isn't very strong. You can spill it on bare skin and not feel anything for a few minutes so there's plenty of time to wash it off.

Why didn’t you use assembly lube on the bearings when you installed them?
