Thanks for sharing, I like the electrical tape trick.

Good video thanks. Some things you could also do. Rough the area with a grinder or maybe 80 grit sand paper to make deeper scratches, then dent the area around the hole in to create a pocket for the epoxy to build some thickness and taper off, that will give it more strenght. The tape is a good idea, I use waxed paper and a straight edge to get it flush, apply extra epoxy in the area of the hole and use the straight edge to force it into the hole so it will bond from behind as well. The dent around the hole can be made using the round end of a ball peen hammer, using 2 hammers. Hold the ball on the hole and hit the other end with the second hammer. This also works with body filler on car panels, if anyone still does that. The waxed paper will peal off when the epoxy has completely cured, try to avoid wrinkling the paper. Use a sanding block to sand it flush, then paint if you wish.

Nice job. I think that will hold pretty good.

Did the epoxy work?

Plot twist: the person who shot it is someone who hates people that lovingly care for their vehicles and do frequent oil changes.
