Ryan great job as always!! Look into an oil pressure isolator, it will break the system in two. Keeping the engine oil in the engine compartment, and a small amount of antifreeze inside the car. I ran one of these on my Cummins fuel pressure because if the line ever broke, I didn’t want diesel fuel running inside my truck. The new braided line should connect right up!

Sounds good, I never heard of that before so I will have to look into it👍

Ryan, There should be a heavy molded seal that should available, probably through Eckler's, to be placed between the heater cover and the firewall (engine side). I ordered this seal when I restored my heater on my 1963 Chevy Impala. This cover has been available and used on many Chevrolet models as well as other G.M. makes through Eckler's for years. If you want a correct restored stock appearing car order one and avoid taking a short cut on something that was able to be achieved at this time allowing a quality restored show car. This heater cover will always be visible every time when the hood is up and be seen. The self adhering foam strip will not hold up under the hood what with the engine heat and the general weather conditions of driving the car.

Ryan, you said “it’s done correctly now”, that’s what I’m waiting on you to say about the Camaro engine! I’ve watched your videos enough to know, if you do it it’s done correctly. I do hope the machine shop finishes with all the engine work very soon. Thanks for the update video!!!

Engine bay looks great now. Is the machine shop doing any assembly for you or just machining parts?
@RyanSampsonRPh3 жыл бұрын
Nope they are just doing the machine work but keep delaying “my turn..” Oh well, he said I should have it back in another week so I can start to assemble it all myself. Kinda at a stand still at the moment since I have nothing left to do (good and bad thing haha).

I’ve said it before, but after each Camaro video, I think how much I love your attention to detail and how determined you remain to have this car in concours condition. Having watched this build from the beginning, it is my favourite of your projects so far, mostly because I believe it is the sleekest, sexiest model GM made in the 70’s. Keep up the amazing work! 👍🇨🇦

Ryan, the heater box shoukd be gloss black. 67-69 Firewall: Semi-flat black 30 percent semi-gloss black paint. Prob the same for 2nd Gen. Different guys on nastyz28.com use their own liking.
@RyanSampsonRPh3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the tip John! I got it to where I like the gloss level and it should be close to original. If not, it’s a cool “batman black” that I was looking to finally achieve🙂
