Doc, I just got in some PGF Complete, PGF Balance and Dirt Booster. My lawn is coming back from my summer scalp. I just watched your video. Thank you for all the great tips and help. I saw you got Green Shocker. Can the green shocker down in a spreader or does it have to be sprayed on?

hello from Germany doc :), nice videos you make there I wish I would get the same lawn as you in the use here in Germany. keep up your good tutorials about lawn for us :). by the way can you upload maybe the PDF guide how to fixing an ugly lawn to another website cause I can't download it from yours cause it says I am behind a vpn, what I am not. I think your site didn't like German ip addresses :(

I have installed tiff tuff Bermuda last June in Texas it is amazing but…. This last couple months have really choked part of the back yard out - what can I do to give it some love - I water nightly by hand - or run the sprinkler early morning

Thanks for the vid's Doc. I find my Tif 419 stand has done well through this western SC heat of June and July 2022. Actually better than my neighbor's Zoysia. Having professionally sanded with a 80/20 mix in July and a 40-0-0 treatment it has done very well coming through strong because as you say water is a definite MUST do. When you teach your kids to ride a bike they are on training wheels first then take them off and watch them go. I do the same when my Bermuda is a bit stressed I dont dump anything heavy on it just a little more, a little at a time when it's ready and look for improvement. Still working on my under tree canopies that tend to make my Bermuda somewhat thin. I've kept the canopies as high as I can get from the ground level but seems not to be enough.

We've had so much more rain this year that past years. We had a three week stretch in June with nothing. Since then I can't keep up with the Bermuda. Pushing my Cottage Craftworks reel mower at 1 inch is nearly impossible in some spots. I can barely keep up with my yard.

Hi, I just started viewing your KZbin presentations. Thanks very much for producing them, BUT there is a problem I think you would want to know. When I Click on the Bermuda Lawn Care Guide, It fails to load and says that there is an error on your site that I believe is a Certificate problem. I can not get past this, so I assume no one else can either.

Hi, I just moved to Arizona and am new to Bermuda grass. I have a weed spreading thru my yard and need help. How can I send you a pic of it and get your advise as I keep reading I cant do anything do to the excessive heat we have here 102-105 on a daily. I look forward to your reply. Thanks

Why not take plugs from good area and put it in the bare spots instead of seed? Bermuda seed takes awhile to germinate/establish.
@jeffpiatt38792 жыл бұрын
If you turn off the water in any part of Texas for two months, the Bermuda is done. In more than 3/4ths of Texas, there is no rain in June, July, Aug. and Sept. St. Augustine is done after 30 days. Bermuda time to mortality is around 6 weeks without water. 100 days of 100 degrees, each year, ensures this.

You seem to be in pretty tight with Andersons, So.....,perhaps you could explain to those of us that live in California why nothing that you recommend is available for our state. I know only one explanation: whatever any product is, if it works well (or perfectly), then it is banned in California.

Hey doc, I scarified and top dressed my yard with a mixture of 60% sand and 40% topsoil. Turns out there are a bunch of 1” x .125” or smaller twigs in that topsoil. I also believe that when I drug the soil I dislodged a bunch of small rocks that were settled into the existing soil. Mowing with my electric reel mower is unwise now since any object that gets in there bends a blade. I can still mow it with my Fiskars Stay Sharp but I’d like to not mow manually long term Do you have any suggestions for any easy way to get all those little reel mower bombs out of my yard? Right now the best I can think of is a rake and a lot of picking them up by hand. Thanks!
@SunnyBermuda2 жыл бұрын
A turf rake or a brush would work great to lift them out of the turf.

Hey Doc, I have a Zeon Zoysia Sod lawn that is 3 months old (here in costal VA) that is getting good amounts of water & sun & cut 1-3/4 every 2 days, but looks like it could use a little green up compared (color wise) to when I put it in. I want to use GreenShocker for a fast green up BUT, I have high phosphorus according to my soil sample (122ppm). Can I mix GreenShocker & PGF 16-0-8 to reduce phosphorus and get some good quick green up along with some slow release green? If not what do you suggest? Thanks brotha for the tips!!
@HowTowithDoc2 жыл бұрын
GreenShocker is fine. It's such a TINY amount of phos that you won't see an impact. Same as the beach house.

Doc - I have been trying to figure out how to contact you. I emailed Recharge to inquire about usage of microbes on a lawn because their bag says to add a teaspoon per gallon of water, but that doesnt help much when the gallon of water isnt defined for square footage.... They said something very interesting... Hi and thanks for trying Recharge. For lawns use 1oz per 700sf so each 16oz bag covers 11,000 sf Thanks Scotty So the third of a little pack or teaspoon isnt doing anything for the lawn.

Hey Doc, just a thought for you. Why not talk to Barb about having John take care of her lawn? Pretty Obvious her Lawn care service is just not up to the task. This way John could get the experience and confidence in using Andersons products and with you and Ryan helping him along, he'll for sure be a success and Barb will have a great lawn again. Helping out a new up and comer businessman like John is far more worthy than throwing $$$ at a big corporation for little results, Anyway, just a thought for ya.
