Guys, i repared my CDJ lan plug in a way i never read about on internet. Mine seemed a bit twisted. So the cable wasn't making contact anymore. A mannualy pulled the golden strips, rounded et tended them with a needle and a twizzer, well aligned. and it WORK !

Thanks for your solution , but i have 1 tip , thanks to your video , i did it myself , and i notice that you dont need to unplug all the wires , just unscrew the 4 print screws so you can pull the print a little bit back , so the linkconnector is out of the case . then put some foam/cardboard under the print so it lifts a bit up , now you can unsolder the connecter and solder the new one back on . it saves you the trouble to put all the wires back on the print ! specially the 2 under the print and the one on the side (under the rca print) because they are the hard ones to put back in ! ( sorry for my bad english , i'm dutch )

I'll second this. Thanks for this comment (and thanks for the great video). I have just repaired mine. You don't need to remove the board, you can, as this comment says, unscrew the 4 print screws, ease the board out a little and replace the ethernet ports without disconnecting all the cables.

bad idea. not unless you are experienced with component level soldering. Beginners or amateurs are much more likely to succeed if they isolate the board that they're going to be working on.. it's a bitch to remove all those wires and then we connect them afterwards.. but that's all it is, I inconvenience. if you leave them connected and you don't isolate the board, and your soldering iron misses its Mark or your carelessly put it down too close to another component on another board, you can really screw it up and make it difficult to find what you did.. but worse than that, if a bit of molten solder drips or your iron makes contact and transfer some molten solder onto any component on the other boards, you gonna cause a short if the solder ends up bridging components..

The part fitter to a CDJ2000 is different to a CDJ2000NXS. The latter includes DC blocking capacitors. These are on the board in the 2000, but the socket goes right into the chip on the NXS, because the capacitors are inside the socket, along with the isolating transformers.

Hey Christian great video. How do you remove the knobs on front for vinyl speed adjustment and release/start? They don't seem to pull off and i'm wary of pulling hard and damaging the board.
@christianjackson8 жыл бұрын
+Oneone Eightaudio pull harder. they are friction fit.

Thanks for the video man, i had no soldering experience but my cdj is fixed and its this vid that did it

How many have you bricked? I’ve done one. Cost $400 for a new board plus had to replace a fuse on the power board. Its because the ground plane and voltage planes in that pcb are so close that you can pull the traves up when you desolder that port.

Ever done a power supply replacement on 2000 nexus 2? Looking to see it before ripping the cdj apart 😁👍

Have you noticed your platter getting a little lose after alot of use ? I feel like mine is a little lose compared to factory new. Would be amazing if you could do a tutorial on that. Can't find anything anywhere.

Thanks for the great tutorials, any chance we can get a link to the wholesaler you got the port from? Most of the ebay shops have them for twice that.

but what was the failure? Was the ethernet jack somehow bent inside, or were the solder joints cold?
@christianjackson6 жыл бұрын
Depends. Most common is that the locking tab is broken off, second most common is that the pins are bent to fuck inside the jack.

Often people trying to plug ethernet cables in upside down in dark environments is the cause.

That whole long video and you don't even show us that the network port is now working at the end ..

I hate skipping parts . I like to see everything and not leav anything out. 1 Suddenly the board was off ?. 2 suddenly you working the new link part,where did old go /what was the reason you wanted to change it ? This you could show us alot more of. also bad angles /cam work. 3 WE NEVER GOT TO SEE THAT THE NEW LINK ACTUALLY WORK,WAS THAT NOT IMPORTANT FOR US?

REAL DJS KNOW HOW TO MIX WITHOUT SYNC ITS NOT THAT HARD IT JUST TAKES PRACTICE. THIS ERROR IS NOT A "SET ENDER"
@christianjackson9 жыл бұрын
+Steven Teijeiro This has nothing to do with sync lmfao. This is the link cable coming disconnected which completely cuts off your music.
