Tina, I honesty love that you go back to spaces that you've already made over and have it grow with you! It feels so much more accurate to real life than to have a Pinterest perfect space. You do such a good job balancing the practical and aesthetics!! Great work as always Tina! 👏 💖

Eventually you’ll probably want dark color behind the the shoe racks because of mud & dirt rubbing off the shoes. Also, is there a shallow pan or skinny mat to catch water from the snow in winter? Love the new light fixture & putting doors back on the closet.

Oh goodness this DIY refresh looks so wonderful and I am loving the looks of it, and putting doors on that entry closet with that paint color just looks so pretty. I also really like that shoe rack and if you needed more shoe storage you could make another one to go above that one. I also love that mirror you hung above your DIYed console table that really looks so cool and I would also love having one in an area of my livingroom. I also love the light you picked it has some cool vibes. I think you did another fabulous job fixing all the DIYs that you wanted to give a refresh too. Thanks once again Tina, this was such a great video to watch and I will look forward to your next one, have a beautiful and blessed day, sending love and hugs, bye! 😂🤗👏🙏💖💕💜

So so so much better because it's way more practical and functional and that is all I'm for when it comes to design! Good job! I would just also paint the edges of the doors so that it isn't white when you open them, in between the doors ;)

Back when you did the closet I voted for the doors to stay because I know it isn’t realistic to have a stylized entryway with coats and shoes exposed, unless you are super disciplined and only have jackets that work with your color scheme. ;-) HOWEVER! I also don’t always listen to advice! I want to see it for myself! I want to think I will do things differently than all the old advice givers. 😂 If you have to ability to do and do over, do it!!! We are here to watch and learn! Good job! You do excellent work, Tina!

I love the before, I love the after! As you said you change it out as your needs change and grow. And I definitely think that's the right thing to do. You can't get attached to something just because it's pretty if it's no longer suiting your current needs. So I want you to remember that when someday you have children in this house. Because I have always thought that the fastest way to make your life simple when you have kids in the house is to simply cut off the last foot of door on that entryway closet paint the entire inside and the doors black. Let them kick off their shoes and literally kick them under the closet door. Shoes are out of the way it's an easy habit to keep you can even reach under and pick up your shoes again or open the door and dig them out when it's time to leave. I know it's unconventional but imagine how much frustration you would save. Just be so much happier if life was that easy.

I bought those lights, too! I bought 4 6” ones, but they’re so bright that I didn’t need more than two in the kitchen. So, one is upstairs outside the guest room, and the other is outside my room. They have a pretty long range, so stay on long enough for a person to get to wherever they’re going in the middle of the night. Recharge in minutes, too.

When you made this entryway closet I did think it looked pretty, but I had a feeling that it would not be practical, so it is so nice to see how you utilized the space now! Regarding the shoe rack that you build, I have only ever seen this design in front of a dojo where I train, exactly because it saves so much floor space!

Such a great video! My partner and I are the same with the shoes 😆 I recently decided rather than fixing up an old, flimsy bookcase to move it to the entryway and now it holds our shoes, boots, a couple of cute storage boxes for hats and gloves (we’re English) and it looks so expensive now after a little TLC.

The shoe idea is nice BUT it's not practical for everyday use (speaking from personal experience). It's great for storing away shoes that are wrong for the weather (like winter boots in summertime). But when it comes to everyday use, if you guys usually just left your shoes on the floor, then you will do that again. Invest in a shoe rack that's on the floor and is easy to access. Design for when you are tired and lazy. Easy access is key! Another thing, if you put the magnetic light behind the clothes instead, it will light up more of the closet space and also light up the clothes in a nicer way.

Why didnt you think to make that vertical shoe storage into the closet into that corner? I don't like shoes in 1st sight when entering a house and of course you should have painted the corners of the doors as well. When you open them the white comes out agly. You know I love you but this is my personal likings and I know that you are a perfectionist as well. The light chosen is dream. Keep up the good work lovely couple. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏❤❤❤❤

I personally don't like open shoe racks because they look cute for 30 minutes and then the shoes end up back on the floor. To solve that we put two rows of small cubbies on top of each other. They span the width of the hall closet so we can put lots of shoes. Even stacked the cubbies are low enough that they don't interfere with jackets and coats. We pushed them all the way back so the back of the closet is the back of the cubbies.
