Wow... blown away by your ability and tenacity to just keep moving forward no matter the issue. Taken from an engine swap to widening the frame rails??.. you sir, would make engineers jealous! New respect for you sir. So good to watch a REAL process with trial and error included.

longer tracbar is good, try to match the length/angle of the drag link to make it handle better. I would have never taken on that job of frame widening, cool to see you make it look easy

I’m doing the same thing with an 80 series. 6.0 LS, TH400, Atlas, three link in front and four in the back, fully caged inside on 42’s.

Look into the Toyota IFS steering box. A lot of videos on how to convert it over to run a ram assist too. I’m running FJ80 axles on my 4runner and stuck with the ifs steering box

Hahahah, pro level editing with the clickbait style thumbnail and the gunshot sound effects! I thought it was going to be tough to spread the frame with your frame plates fully welded on, but you made it look easy. Ive enjoyed every video you have put out.

Love how those motor mounts came out. I do think they should be more under the engine rather than next to it.

Me at work getting the day started slow clapping to this episode. Wow. Well done, sir. It's hard to have to scrap a plan to begin all over; especially after all the work you did. The result is incredible, though. The strengthening of the frame will also go a long way when you start flexing that thing.

Austin, don't know why you just didn't pull the body off and widen the whole frame, body mounts could have been cut to accommodated the widening, never understood why Toyota made those frames so close. Looks good, hope it works out for you. Jay

This is common practice with guys building Jeepsters. As the frames are parallel and only 25.5" wide inside.

Damn only 24" wide inside! That's worse then my son's 70 Jeepster. It's 25.5" wide inside and is too damn tight for a LS. I made the frame in my CJ buggy 29" wide inside to get some room. This will make the exhaust so much easier and should solve the driveshaft issue. As for a steering box. You may consider a saginaw box. As they are smaller then the Yota box you have now. The CJ, XJ ones mount inside the frame and the 73-87 Chevy 2wd mount on the outside. These have the normal rear side to side swing. I used an XJ one on the Jeepster and a PSC CJ one on my crawler. If you take the XJ stock arm and heat it up and bend it flat it gives you a 6.75" swing hole to hole. Been running one on the CJ since I built it in 2008.

Do you actually find Toyota Pick Ups in the salvage yards there?? I have never seen one. Only 4 Runners, and usually not my year. I've been needing parts for my '92 Pick Up for years and can't find them.
