@@steven.h0629 I hope I am explaining this correctly, I have the jet coming from the pump pointed up high and to the right to make the swirl. I had to buy a new adjustable nozzle. The original one just was straight. I hope this helps.

Scott: The directions to our above ground pool steps said to add fine gravel. Umm, I guess that is another way of calling it 'sand'. 🤣🤣 My husband was smart enough to know that is a terrible idea, and he is smart enough he watched your video. YOU HAVE MADE LIFE MUCH EASIER for this Ohio couple. Using the zip ties will allow the weghts to be removed, making it easier to remove the steps in our cold winters. I can't imagine muscling out those steps with wet sand in them, up over the rail. You truly have made life much easier for us. Thank you, and best of luck with your channel. You made us laugh. Mine take up water in the rails and the sand bags I took out end up full of water and moldy. I am thinking with the mat and screwing it to the deck may be enough. I know if water got in the sand my son in law did a crap job of screwing the caps on the sand bags. Point being it was HELL getting the bags out for a good vacuum and for the winter so mine are NOT going back in. I will take a little bounce 😂 and a mat! I am gonna drill holes at the highest point to let trapped air out and see if water fills it enough to hold it down minimal bounce

Scott, just putting steps like these together. Mine have open ends for putting sand in all the vertical parts of the structure. Not sure I want to do this. Are yours the same? Used bricks on my last set and they worked.

I've got some questions. Why not just put end caps on both sides for ease and a cleaner look? Also dry cement? Why not use sand? Or wet cement so they weight more for smaller or less pipes? Also why not attach the on the inside so they are less obtrusive?

They are doing a great job. Between me and my dog running up and down bouncing on them , they haven’t moved or loosened up. My dog weighs 100, I weigh 250. I did use some strong zip ties. I’ll answer a couple of questions I have had. The Home Depot is the only store close and they didn’t have enough glue caps. I would have loved to had enough. 2nd question is why on the out, algae is bad in my area and if I added them inside the algae would have had a place to run wild. Overall been a good project. If your supplier has enough caps, get them. Hope it Works for you .

I also am having algae issues this year but I don't think it's the PVC pipes. I think there is an engineering or design flaw with these steps. When I take them out this year I am going to drill a series of holes to allow more water flow. I may even coat them with a anti fungal coating...not sure. I'll video this. Thanks for the comment.
