My 05 Honda Element has needed a good wax.. and an automated Wax / Wash... really sucks. They did the top and or rear.. but they suck at the lower 1/4. Its clear or smooth on the upper part of my doors... but there is definate grime on my lower door quarters. Car Washes... really just plain suck. Water is recycled, there is markup ontop of markup. I should go to a local wash it yaself... but Im unsure about using plastic bristles on my paint. Also... no personal offense, 16bux for a auto wash.. is just not worth it. I didnt even spend 10bux. I also know if I spent 30... its still not what "Id like". Shit, if its not clean... its not clean.

As someone who always keeps their car mirror reflection clean it always drives me nuts seeing all those swirls and dirty cars always being shown. I have a soft spot for Spyker. I'm Dutch myself and I used to go to Sebring and Le Mans, rooting for the Dutch teams Racing for Holland and Spyker. We would go to Le Mans with around 40 people, set up camp, have a free for everybody Friday night party with free beer and a live blues band. The Spyker Squadron, as their team was called, used to come party with us too and invited us to the paddock the next day and at the factory later that year. They were really appreciative of our support. Spyker may not have been the last word in engineering or performance, but it's special and I'm thankful for having had the opportunity to get so close to the people chasing their dreams. Seeing this video put a smile on my face. Good for you for safeguarding a piece of automotive history.

I love the back end of the Spyker. It reminds me (somewhat) of the old 60s GT40, not a dead ringer by miles, but has just enough to get the juices going. Wonderful, quirky car. I also love the exposed shift linkage , I believe Pagani did something similar.

I graphene coated my beater 2010 C70 via that vinwiki gloss-it special and couldn’t be happier. The paint on my car isn’t great but it looks a lot better afterwards and gives me time to decide if I’m gonna do a respray or not. Took me a whole weekend to detail my Volvo inside and out.

I've seen a few online threads from professional detailers that do exotics / high end paint corrections and the before and after can be quite unbelievable. Having a car too nice or clean is a problem because it makes it harder to enjoy and just drive. Instead of doing what Ed does and actively looks for a bad example, I look for a solid bones car with repair work that I can mostly manage to do by myself to save money. I've never had a car with really nice paintwork though, but I'd like to have one.

They sure got their advertising money’s worth with this video. But I DID watch the whole thing, because it still was entertaining to see, and I’ve always loved those Spykers. Admittedly, when I first saw one, I thought it was pretty, but kinda strange from same angles. But this design has aged extremely well, and now I see them as drop-dead gorgeous. They’re not gimmicky or cliche in their details, and the level of that detail is amazing. They really are a modern coach built car.

As a 20 year old who enjoys looking and learning about new cars the stinger brand has been a favorite since I was a kid. I bought a "new looking" 64 Pontiac from Ontario. Big mistake, the undercoating had been laquered on so thick & somewhere down the line 45ish years ago, somebody put bondo sealed & brass welded panels in the floor then covered them with thick undercoat. Looked legit, til i started trying to clean it up underneath & chunks started flaking off. 🤣🤕 Always check the floors no matter how low the mileage & clean the body work!

Ed, be aware that once you apply a pro-level 9H or 10H ceramic coating, you won't be able to add a PPF over it without wet sanding the coating first. PPF won't adhere to ceramic coatings, due to their hydrophobic properties, and slickness., There's nothing for the adhesive to "grip."

Ed, the car looks amazing. I hope you can fully utilize this when the time comes to sell. The price for a professional detailer shouldn't be a shocker. It's more or less $100/hr. Sure, all of those hours cannot be charged at the full amount because they're still learning but most people leaving a car at a shop, with all of its equipment, will pay at least $100/hr.
